Default Putting The "Zoo" In Zurich

Spent a week in Zurich (Switzerland, not Nevada). So what did I do in the biggest city in Switzerland? See the sights? Soak up a little culture? Naaaaah! I looked at watches.

Of course, this store had more than just watches.

Beautiful Downtown Zurich

A river (the Limmat) runs through it.

Zurich also has an huge underground arcade called "Shopville."

Of course, I dined at only the best restaurants.

A typically "easy to understand" direction sign.

Taking a break from the watch stores, I hopped a tram and went to the zoo. Here are a couple of highlights, including the gratuitous poop shot.

My favorite street, Bahnhofstrasse. Just about all the stores sell watches.

I also confess, when I visit new places, I check out their supermarkets. Here was a happy discovery.

The obligatory "arty" shot.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I love Switzerland! Didn't get to spend any time in Zurich though.....just long enough to transit thru the airport for a connecting flight to Geneva, and a bus ride from Lucerne to the Zurich airport for our departure home.

Geneva and Lucerne were more recomended to me, but I still chose Zurich. Zurich is more German and that's what I wanted.

I love Switzerland too!

That place is sooooooooo beutiful, I love Swiss watches. Come to think of it I love everything that comes out of that country. Kind of a cool fact for me, one of my ancestors actually came from Zürich!
