Roswell will be a hoot for sure.

The TOD IMHO has Roswell potential and could very well be it's equivalent. On a drivers angle, it's a tough act to follow.

Couple shots in the rain... as hard is it rained while we sat at the gas station, the tail turned out beautiful. Definitely made up for it! LOL

A classic moment in nB TOD history for sure.

For you all who didn't attend. The picture tells the story. So Here it is we're on the Cherohala skyway in a cloud and all you could see were the lines on the road. We're driving ever so slowly; I was behind Sully and Patrice. All of a sudden I don't see them no more; all is see is a wall of fog/cloud and the yellow center lines and white shoulder lines- that was good enough for me. So I turn on my flashers and keep on creeping along. Little did I know that the entire group, how I still don't know, pulled over to this mystery location. I, thinking that the front of the pack just out drove me, I kept on driving until we got out of the cloud and pulled over to a safe spot, so the back of the pack could catch up, and we could meet with the front of the pack. All of a sudden, I see beetles approaching- front of the pack, rear of the pack....everybody. Still I think it was an X-Files abduction; either I was, or the rest of the pack was abducted. Anyhoo, it was all good, seeing that the skyway is a 50+ mile stretch, and we would eventually meet up. I'm just glad that fog cleared up. Val was gonna have me make Cup into a Westy and camp until the park ranger came to save us

SO... I'ma have to beat Wilky up for forgetting my camera! This new camera takes ok pictures... but nothing like my good minolta that sat at home in it's case all weekend. *cries*
Below are the shots I did get however... some turned out really cool, some I just thought were eh.. ok.
Some of these shots I wouldn't have gotten with my heavy... HEAVY minolta... but some of the other shots woulda been better still. LOL It's a trade off I guess!

The view was sometimes just breathtaking... Wilky and I are planning a move down to this area... this weekend just made us want to do it sooner!

Great pics! I LOVE the one when we were passing the cop. No sooner had somebody said to watch our speed than we passed this guy. I never saw any cops in the tail itself, but this was a good warning. LOL!

Also love the cloud shot. We were not in fog, we were in a cloud! I would love to do the skyway in clear weather some time, there were some beautiful views! Mom and I went back through the Dragon Sunday and then headed home a different way. We went up Fontana Rd. with some absolutely stunning views of the lake! I'll post them eventually.

Looking at us129.com, yesterday's pics are up! Herbie Jr. is on page 11 and 12. Mom and I in Daisy are on page 39 and 40 with me finally getting to drive that amazing stretch of highway! Then on page 43 and 44 you see us again going in the other direction with Mom behind the wheel, trying to see how fast she can take some of those turns. She might have been a little over the double yellow line! LOL! I haven't been all the way through the Saturday pics to see the people who went back through after we took pictures. These are really great pics, I just wish they weren't so expensive! Can't wait to see more of the pics uploaded and to see the video with audio! I'm at work with no speakers, so I can't hear it but it looks great!

LOL we laughed as soon as we saw him. Not at the guy getting pulled over of course... but because Wilky had just said something about them. So I took that picture because the cop was there... lol.

I think I like a few of the pics from yesterday better than the ones from Saturday. But they were probably able to get better pictures then because they didn't have a large group of creepy crawlers rolling together. LMAO They didn't have to rush to get the next car!

Yeah, they got better pics of us Sunday, too. Plus we had the top down because it was absolutely gorgeous! I learned lesson number one of riding around all day in a convertible, though. In the future, I will wear sunscreen! My arms and the tops of my legs are absolutely fried!

Steven, I listed to the video. You are too funny! I wish I would have thought about doing that, my phone has video capability and it didn't even occur to me to use it. Oh, well! Next time!
