Default Pittsburgh Fall GTG

What a great day for a drive to Pittsburgh!

Our GTG was small, but we had a great time.

Nice to see BJ and his wife, Christine and Ian.

Rob from Three Rivers VW stopped by with his hopped up GTI.

We ate wings and watched the Steelers!

3 Bugs and 1 GTI.

I didn't take many pics. Here they are.

I tried to snap a couple of fall pics, but their not too good.

Great pics.
I love the NB convertible, with the daisy rims and eyelashes. It is adorable

I wonder what the yellow bug has done do it's engine. Intake manifold is on the TT side. Wonder if it has dual intercooler or front mount?....

I know BJ has a FMIC and a KO4.

Maybe he'll chime for the details.

Something like 24lbs of boost.

it is a tt 225 intake manifold with the audi head p&p. it made it easier for the fmic to be piped with less piping so therefore less turbo lsg. a real nice mod but i had to move the battery to the trunk and yes it hits 24psi it was actually hitting 30 then leveling off to 28 but the block is not able to handle that much so ive got an overboost kit on it to keep it from spiking to high..its a lot of fun and still pretty reliable for daily driving, the tt mani throws ppl off all the time...i love it

cool u should slap a blower on the 2.0. neuspeed makes a great supercharger setup. i had a 2.0 with the n/s blower its real smooth for power delivery. but i love my 1.8t. like they say; the true def. of turbo lag is the time it takes you to go from a 2.0 to a 1.8t.........lol.

even worse, solo seats. i find the backseat pretty big. i'm 6'3. i fit my 3 and 5 year olds back there alright and the oldest sits behind me. my mercedes had less room. i found myself on the steering wheel. the bug leaves me alot of room to move. as far as the bikes. i have a 80' honda bobber i built. 94' YZF750R stunt bike, 02' ZX6R. anybody have some nice parts laying around? just looking for whatever in general. anything to make it look or drive better.

oh, when i say he has no back seat, i mean it literally---ripped them things right outta his car, didn't ya BJ? I swear his wife and I talked about that for about half the GTG.

yeah the back seats don't tip the scales too much, just kinda my thing..the bug is a toy not a family car, my wife has the family car. hey she knew what she was gettin into almost 10 years ago, i still got useless scary fast cars bikes and go carts and i always will. nice honda bobber i saw it on craigslist a few weeks back. i built a gs850 chop/bobber but i can't get it titled..been thinkin about partin it...
