Default Luxembourg Gudde Moïen New Beetle Tour October 10-11 2009

Last weekend I've attended a gtg in Luxembourg organised by Patrice (Spirit of Herbie) from France.
We were with 8 cars, from France (most of them), Luxembourg and The Netherlands (me!)

See below an impression of the weekend:

First I went to the village where I used to go on vacation with my parents: Dillingen, Luxembourg. In those days it wasn't allowed to cross the bridge by car. Funny sidenote. Behind me is Germany, so actually I was taking the photo while standing on the German side of the bridge

Upon arrival Patrice and his wife Elisabeth handed out giftbags

The group, this was lunch on Saturday: wine at noon!

This is what we've had for lunch

Leaving for our tour through the country, well almost the whole country

Some had to fill up before the tour

Onward we go to continue our tour

Here we are parked in the town of Larochette

Here we are leaving the town of Diekirch and are on our way to Vianden.

The castle of Vianden

Proof that I was actually there . At this stop Patrice and Elisabeth surprised us on a picknick at that look out point. It was so much fun! The weather wasn't agreeing with us so well, but that didn't stop the fun.

At night we had dinner at the NH Hotel next to Luxembourg Airport. We were very much spoiled!

I've mentioned it before Marcia in one of your other event picture threads, that I'd soooo love to live there. Don't get me wrong, I love it here too, but the history and architecture we just don't have here. Thanks for posting

That's right yes, you've mentioned it before, although I must say that I don't live in Luxembourg. I love the countryside, so for that reason I wanted to attend this gtg

Thanks a lot Mazzzja for your pics and comments posted !!!
Great work !!!!
It was my 1st GTG as organizer, and I have chosen Grand Duchy of Luxembourg cause, even if I live at the borderline on the french side, it could be a good spot to have fun with our bugs in this lovely country where I spend a lot of times cause I work at Luxembourg airport !
Thanks to all to be there !
Special thanks to Mazzzja coming from Netherlands and Marcus ( the guy with the black convertible) came from Switzerland !!!
Others frenchs came from Paris and Normandie and of course my friends, Pisou and Pouxi, my closer neighboors came from Junglister , small village from Grand Duchy !
We were anxious but everything was ok with the organization !
I can take a good breathe now !!!!!
Thanks for reading and watching !

If you hadn't made the effort to organize this GTG, we all wouldn't have gotten to see all the nice beetles and the beautiful countryside. Tip o' the hat to you ma'am

Thanks VWGARY, you're right, it's necessary to make effort to organize a GTG to have fun , see friends and bugs to share our passion.
We were only 8 cars but all of us are real NB enthousiasts !!!
Anyway, I'm ready to organize a new GTG for next year if my freetime allows it !
It's not always easy but you have a great award when your friends come at this event !

We started our tour and we had to fill up our bugs with a very good gas !
But after this tour all along the Grand Duchy, we needed to fill up as well for a good diner at restautant "Signature" in NH Hotel !
a private lounge was dedicated especially for us !

and between apetizers and dessert, we could eat a rumsteak with bearnaise or choron dressing as a main dish !
huuummm, I'm hungry eachtime I look at these pics !
Bon appetit !!!

Yes it is , They own also a brand new Mercedes ML 320 , an Audi TT Roadster, a convertible Rabitt( Golf ) mk1, a Jeep Cherokee or a Wrangler, I don't remember exactly, Armand has ordered a brand new Audi TT RS as well( 340 hp ), probably I forget to mention one or two others !!!
The TT RS should be there for Xmas, good present !!!
I believe in you Santa Claus !
Santa Claus is more generous with luxemburgish people ! I wonder why ? lol !

Thank you very much !
I tried to do my best for my 1st organization to offer the best to my guests !
It was a good challenge, and for my 2nd, I hope, it should be better than this !
It will be hard but why not ?
With some scandinavian guests it could be nice !!!

Thanks a lot, one more time, to Mazzja for her comments and lovely pics !!!
