New Beetle Summer Tour 2010, 28-30 May 2010 Texel, The Netherlands

This weekend the Dutch New Beetle Club had another great get together on the island of Texel.


There were 17 cars present although we anticipated for a couple more.
This topic might sound familiar to some, that's because this is the 4th year in a row a gtg is held on this island.

For the upcoming photos I like to give a warning to the weak hearted and delicate people.... it might be shocking to some...

To get to the island I had to catch a ferry boat. While waiting I snapped a shot of the seagulls.






After dinner that night we played a false bingo.
These were the prices.







We ended up dancing the night away.
The DJ used smoke as an effect which supposedly set of the fire alarm (we didn't hear it, must've been the loud music). A firetruck got to the hotel and the fire(wo)men stayed for an hour and partied with us.

The sound is awful, but you can see we were having fun.

The next day we went to drive a little tour before stepping on a boat to fish for shrimp.

The island is known for its wildlife, therefore we saw a bunch of birdwatchers while driving the tour.
Luckily these men had only eyes for us

The owner of this black NB is Antoin. You see him sticking out just behind his car on the left next to the other people.
I believe he is not a member of the Org.
I'm not sure if you are able to watch this thread on the Dutch NB forum as it might be blocked to non-members, but here you can see 38 (!) pages of his car and how it has developed.
If you have any questions, let me know then I'll forward them to Antoin.
