Today, the Dutch New Beetle Club organized a very nice GTG.
The turnout was quite impressive, 49 beetles were present.

The weather just couldn't be any better. About 15°C but blue sky and sun all the way. Together with all those nice bugs the main ingredients for a great day.

Here are some of the pix I took today.

On the way to the GTG

Thank you Tommy for starting this thread, I haven't had time yet to get around to it.
Yes, it was a wonderful day yesterday. Great weather, great people (international friends I might add: Belgium + France), great number of NB's, great number of spectators along the route

Oh, and Tommy, how's the green pea soup?

Hahah, I don't think I'll try it very soon. Maybe to clean up my stomach when feeling sick and it all has to get out

But glad I got it, apparently, the 'board' of the club awarded my Chili as most beautiful bug, so that's kinda special and therefore they got me....... pea soup

Let me explain the community a little what this pea soup is all about

The tour is called: SNERTRIT.
Snert is another word for green pea soup in Dutch.
Take a look at this Wiki page.

My photos will be posted later this week, hopefully tomorrow.

A video made and edited by no one else than our own Jeroen
Too bad you can't understand Dutch, but at the end Jeroen asks Michael why the stripe is not in the middle. Michael replies that the guy who put the stickers on is too short, his little arms couldn't reach to the middle part of the car

This is the link to the thread of photos at the Dutch NB club.
Don't mind the Dutch babbling in between, just enjoy the photos and the 2 videos, posted in the above 2 threads.

During the route we entered Belgium twice. I'm lucky there's no border control as I had forgotten to bring my passport

Hmmm I've just noticed that in Belgium the speedlimit is higher than in The Netherlands....

Also, some common knowledge:
Dutch license plates are yellow with black lettering and a blue part on the left saying NL. Both front and back license plate are the same.
Belgian license plates are short. White with red lettering. Some have the European blue part on the left with a B in it, others don't. Front and back are the same.
French license plates are stretched. In the front yellow with black lettering. In the back white with black lettering. Also the blue part is present with an F in it.

Let's continue:

The end.
Although I could've added photos of the people inside the restaurant, but since you don't know them it has no use.
