So now we come to my favorites.
The first is a 1974 Prsche 914. This is the air-cooled vehicle that I could see me getting and should have gotten last year. Perfect for my "garage" and commute. The second is a 1975 Beetle Bought in Mexico. Ths car was uber clean. ![]() |

2 Vehicles left.
Both are from the same couple. The first is an early Beetle done up like a German Officer's Car. Uniform and all in back. The second, I'll need some help here from the hard corers for the name. If I tried to say it, I know I would swear. I saw this at the Civil War Re-Enactment I went to about a month back. Guess I need to post pics of that. This was the Best of Show Winner! ![]() |

The Volkswagen Kübelwagen (short for Kübelsitzwagen, meaning "bucket seat car") was a military vehicle designed by Ferdinand Porsche and built by Volkswagen during World War II for use by the German military (both Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS). Based heavily on the Volkswagen Beetle, it was prototyped as the Type 62, but eventually became known internally as the Type 82.
With its rolling chassis and mechanics built at Stadt des KdF-Wagens and its body built by US-owned firm Ambi Budd in Berlin, the Kübelwagen was for the Germans what the jeep was for the Allies. Great pics Joel! 89 vehicles and 12 swappers. Show went off without a hitch. Here's a few more pics:
