From what I understood, 5th gear was giving Jack (mrchaotica) some issues for some time. I think what happened was, over time, the bolt that held that gear on finally came lose. Causing the gear to rub and push against the pan of the transmission. I think, not 100% sure, that was the selector gear? So it put a nice little hole in the side of the pan, causing the fluid to all come out. And when we heard the metal on metal clanking before they were about to leave, that's when we investigated.

I guess....moral of the story is....if a gear is givin' ya issues...don't put it off for too long. It will eventually blow a hole in the side of the tranny pan...lol I dunno. But yeah, don't ignore transmission issues. lol
