Talking 2006 Silver NewBeetle TDI "Prius Eater"

Just completed the minor mods to my NEW 2006 NewBeetle TDI. Purchased about a month ago. I got one of the last silver 2006 NewBeetle TDI in the area (first color choice). Traded in a 1999 yellow NewBeetle TDI. I really like the minor body refinement changes for 2006. These styling changes were way overdue. First mod was adding my Audi TT 18" seven spoke wheels I had on the '99 bug. I love those wheels, they're also easy to clean. Replaced the factory headlights with some nice blue tinted bulbs (HID look) with blue parking light bulbs (look great). Added 35% tint all around, and final touch was the factory "third light" spoiler. That's all I plan to do. I'm really happy with the results. The 2006 is so nice, really like the sunroof and the factory XM. Had some problems (CEL, hard to start, clogged waste gate(?) with the '99 over the seven years I had. I hope the 2006 proves to be mechanically refined. So far, I'd rate it A+. The '99 was named "YoYo". No name for the 2006, but I call it the "Prius eater". I "dislike" those UGLY "hybreed" (hybrid) cars. Ain't no ugly Prius hybreed going to hang with no 2006 NewBeetle TurboDieselInjection Silver Reflex five speed XM equipped tinted windows with light induction sunroof factory style rear spoiler sex machine fuel efficient soot emitting VW. LOVE MY BUG! RIP YoYo.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. It's our fourth bug

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a BIG personalized license plate fan. I like initials and I think my I1I tag is tops. Regardless, I'll be on the prowl for an unsuspecting Prius "hybreed".

Amen... you nailed my sentiments exactly! Hot rims, as you already know.

Looks Great I like the rims too. Are those direct bolt on or are spacers needed?

Sorry for the two and a half year delay in replying. The Audi TT 18" wheels are a perfect fit for the VW NewBeetle, no spacer needed. I purchased them used off eBay with tires.
