Except the aftermarket stereo head unit this car is a absolute stocker and has always been.
It just passed a major milestone by reaching 100,000 happy miles.
No major technical issues. What even surprised me most is that it stopped burning oil at a previous rate of about 1 quart per 1500 miles and it's fuel economy is ever improving. Completely opposite of what common sense would suggest at that milage.

I loved my New Beetle. I still do. But only with the difference that now its owner has changed. My dad decided to buy that car from me. I wanted to 'donate' it to him and not a penny in return but he insisted on paying me a trade-in value. So, I agreed especially since the dealer wanted to give me whole $2000 for it.
And reason why I went to the dealer was to buy a new car.

I'm still a NB lover but now I'm finally with the dream of my life Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon.
