It looks like my Turbo S, only the steering wheel's on the wrong side!

How is that engine? Is it stock?

Yep the car is 100% stock, we don't get the Turbo S over here in the UK, the closest thing is the V5 Sport Edition (mine)which has a 170BHP 2.3 V5 engine in it, and the same interior/bumpers/wheels etc as your Turbo S.

2 cool mate! So, is the V5 a turbo or is it normally aspirated and does anyone make a chip?

Cheers!

Its naturally aspirated, and as far as I know you can get it remapped (not chipped) to around 200BHP (possibly a bit more with exhaust, filter etc)

Right - Insurance

I could get it supercharged etc and not tell my insurance, but if I have an accident my insurance wll be invalid!

In the UK we have to pay a yearly fee for driving our cars on the road called road tax (approx £180 for a V5 Bug!) which is based on the car emissions, the higher the emisisons the more expensive it gets (and the bug is in the highest tax band!)and has to be displayed in the windscreen, hence the need for a tax disc holder!

Unfortunately in the UK when you have a major bump they do pop the bonnet and check, as insurance companies will do ANYTHING to get out of paying!

And heres a couple of piccies of my 2 previous bugs

My first bug, a 1.6, but only had for a month as there was a massive dent in the bonnet like it had been sat on! Rejected under VW's 30 day exchange policy.

and exchanged for this a Cyber Green 2.0(spoiler/wheels/stripes added by me):

Then I had 6 months of madness when I owned this - A Smart Roadster

And now I've got Archie!!!

Nice ride! Looks just like the turbo s' I would bet that the v5 engine you have is probably an early version of what is in the mkv jetta's, rabbits, and beetls.
