My new 2007 Laser Blue GLS

I got him on Sept 29th and just have been so busy enjoying him that I have not taken the time to get any batteries for the camera. It's a funny story. I went in to talk to the dealer about a check engine light I had and ended up talking to a salesman who I thought was more helpful than the service guy. The payments didn't go up that much so I just decided to trade. I have not gotten any thing for the bud vase yet. I went from a 2003 GL to a 2007 GLS.

I really like the new radio with the cd player in the dash. It will also play mp3’s navigate the sub folders and to an extent display the name or tag information of the song playing.
I don’t care for the new red numbers in the odometer. I liked the liquid crystal display on my 2003 better. I though I would not like the newer squared off fenders but they really are not all that different. The laser blue paint is quite a bit more difficult to keep clean. I think they have redesigned the head light assembly. I didn’t see the release mechanism I got to know so well when changing H1 light bulbs twice a year on the 2003. I will always miss yodabug, I sure hope his new owner treats him well. The last picture shows (Yodabug) my old bug with my late father on the left and me on the right.

Oh and the 2.5 is quite a bit more peppy than the 2.0.

Which cowboy are you? That's a BEAUTIFUL car! Very nice color choice I wish I could see techno blue, blue lagoon, shadow blue and laser blue all next to each other. Laser blue looks really close to blue lagoon. Are you going to name him?

You answered my first question the same time I asked it. What year did VW put the Mp3 capability in? Daisy will play mp3s. I like the new location of the mp3 jack on the 07s.

It's located farther up on the dash, instead of underneath. I'm not sure exactly where. The CD player was enabled to play mp3 CDs in 04 or 05 I think.

It's on the right hand side below the head unit.

The 07 vert I looked at had the jack closer to the vents. But if he says his car has the jack below the head unit....

You can't see it in the picture but the jack is on the cream colored part of the dash to the right and below the head unit. Just about even with the heated seats control. It's just not in this picture.
