Well, here was my original milestone I passed that point with my brother in the car, driving from British Columbia, where we'd driven that evening for an inexpensive sushi buffet, back to his apartment outside of Seattle.

The next day was when I noticed the big oil leak. You know, the day after my powertrain warranty went away! Perfect timing, huh?

Oh yeah, the leak was my fault. Seattle doesn't believe in double yellow lines in the middle of their roads, and I noticed the big pointy curb they use just a little too late.

Here's my brother and his '73 Beetle just before I headed off for Yellowstone.

Speaking of Yellowstone!

I only got one picture of the car there. Here it is pulled up next to a pre-erupting White Dome Geyser!

From there I went to Devil's Tower, hoping to meet up with the Mother Ship. It turned out to be just my Pod all alone!

I met up with Aaron (Growler), back when he had Eeyore. Here are a couple of Beetle butts to enjoy!

I got out to NYC and met Goateedude and his own Beetlemania. Okay, so his tag actually said BUGmania, but you get the idea! No fair, New York and their extra letters on their tags, and then at the departure. Thanks, Mike!

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Soon after, I had a visit with spacegrrl in North Carolina.

This was actually her car, Spacepod, but I just love the lawn tiki we saw! And then one of our 2 cars outside of her house.

After a trek through Florida, I met Deserion, and got some pictures with Milen. The second one was from right around the time the security guard came out and threatened to have us arrested for trespassing. It was just a joke, he eventually let on. April fools! In November?

Glad you're liking them! And I am now a posting fool! Or a fool posting. Anyway...

I met up with the Atlanta crew, made up of MetalFreak, and CaptainXeroid and RaceKitty! (that's my Bug in the background). And you can barely see my headlight in the second shot. It counts!

I took the long way to Chattanooga, by way of the Dragon's Tail at Deal's Gap, along US 129. Here's the car at the last of the 138 curves in 11 miles!

Once I got to Tennessee I met iBug and his adorable daughter. Here we are on their sidewalk (I'm the one with the mountain-man beard), with iBug and Beetlemania in the background! And then a few of us grown-ups with the cars!

I stopped in New Orleans for a night, just so I could get this picture the next morning! Isn't that a fantastically interesting wall? Okay, not really, but it was a pretty quick stay in town. I really only had a couple of hours to walk around before I had to get back on the road.

I guess the last in this series of pictures will come from Dallas, when I got to get to the DFW New Beetle Club's Dinner for Jacob just in time for dessert! I really hadn't expected those torrential rains through central Texas.

Here are a few that 'toine took, starting with me, run-ning

And a couple of our cars before we had to leave that night, er, morning.

Here's Beetlemania with a pre-scalloped Marvin, and then one of Antoine and Pam between the cars

Well, I think those are all of the pics I can link to, but I'll upload more over time. Hopefully not as much time as it's taken before now! Thank you for reminding me about this page, hyakugojyuuichi! (I hope I spelled that right. I tried it from memory!)

eidt: now I know it's spelled right. I almost had it! Pesky y.

I must find the ones from your carabug with us at Mt. St. Helens, 2003. It was great to meet you! They're not on this computer, so I will try to find the thread at the old Org, and save a few. I remember your odyssey, and was kinda envious. I love your pics!

*edit: Found one from August 23, 2003~! Taken by jdesigns
