Thanx for all your responses - I will take some shots at "Autostadt" as I'm going to spend the whole day there together with a friend of mine.
It's quite interesting there - exhibitions of every Volkswagen brand (Bentley, Skoda, Bugatti, Lamborghini) as well a museum to be visited. Last time I've been there, they have had the last Beetle that has been built as well as the original "Concept" NB from California. @CoriBug - The trip from Mexico to Germany will take approx. 6-8 weeks usually. Edit: Returning home I found a letter by "Autostadt" confirming everything including a Euro 50.- voucher and some info material. Last edited by DO-KM; 12-07-2006 at 11:21 AM.. |

Also available as bi-color dashboard: Black + Grey, Black + Cream or single black dashoard with cream or grey carpet (at least in Europe) and in addition .... Last edited by DO-KM; 12-18-2006 at 09:39 PM.. |

Nevertheless, your car looks amazing. fyi there are 3 different leather trims available over here: leather on standard seats (add 1570 Euro) read leather (as above) on standard seats (add 1720 Euro) leather on sports seats (add 1835 Euro) imho That's really expensive (compared to the U.S.) as nothing else is included in this surcharge (no power roof, no 17" alloy wheels ...) just the seats. If you're willing to pay that additional fee they will give you the lower part of the dashboard in a color fitting the color of the leather interior you've chosen ![]() |

Well, in the US you can't special order anything. You can 'request' a list of options and then the dealer will look at what they pre-ordered from VW Mexico. If it's not part of their dealer order, then they search around for what you want at another dealer. That's how I got mine (the only other one I've ever seen exactly like it is in Belgium).

yupp either "deep black" or standard black (but I don't know what really is the difference between those - except the price) Also a nice option: Last edited by DO-KM; 12-19-2006 at 09:47 PM.. |
