Gave Gina a wash today

Sorry for the crappy cell pics- all I could get

1] Getting suds-ey
2] All rinsed up after 2 washes
3] I was tired (pulled an all-nighter) so I grabbed a drink and included Gina in the shot

So true!! All the detailing I have to do sometimes makes me wish I'd gotten the Cyber Green one! (But then I'd have to do just as much work to keep it from fading! )

I'm OK! Gina is currently up on a lift getting some work done. She recently over heated while driving home and I took her in after she wouldn't turn on one day

Well, I AM saving quite a bit on gas. Buuut spending a lot more on maintenance/ labor and parts!

Finally got Gina back last Tuesday. Haven't been able to take pictures of her with anything but my cell. And I can't give her a wash like I'd like to until the paint cures. Until then we're stuck with these

I guess I should update everyone on my goings-on and Gina. Or should I say...lack thereof.

Gina and I parted ways back in June of last year. I'd rather not go into the details, but I will say that she was still going strong when we had to say goodbye to each other.

I cannot tell you guys how much I miss her everyday. Whenever I see a New Beetle, no matter the color it reminds me of the good times I had with Gina and the people she brought into my life. It was because of Gina that I was able to meet all of you on the .org and many more friends on my regional forum, SoCalEuro.com. The adventures, GTGs and roadtrips I took in Gina will forever be a part of me, and I was so sad to see her go, but at the time it seemed like the best decision- I can tell you now that it most certainly was NOT.

Although Gina and I experienced some hard times together, I look back everyday at what we shared together for close to 6 years and I can honestly say that they were some of the best times of my life. As I sit here sharing these memories with you it brings tears to my eyes-- happy tears, of course! Certain songs will always remind me of driving around in my peppy "2.slow" around Southern California. Every time I hear a Volkswagen lock I remember the huge smile that was plastered on my face everytime I downshifted or zipped passed someone in my little black bubble. She was a noble steed, loyal and full of character. I just hope that wherever she maybe now, she's happy and more importantly that her owner is as happy as I once was.

And awwww. Sorry that Gina had to go. I'm glad that She was doing fine when you let her go. And yes, you do have lots of good times, as well as pictures to hold on to... and I guess a few beetle peeps along the way too.

Gina's gone, but you're still and orger- please check in with your beetle family. And get a photo thread going of your new ride- we're still interested in what rolls ya!
