There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

A little TLC and he'll be good as new again I started really liking the white NBs after seeing a few around here. You can do alot with white and have it look good.

You are the perfect person to give that poor Beetle the TLC that it needs. Keep up posted on your progress.

Call around to junkyards for white Beetle bumpers and it'll be an easy bolt-on job, all pre-painted too.

Great find! I really like the multi-colored front bumper.

Best of luck getting little R2 back in tip top shape!

Thanks everybody for the words of encouragement!

My little brother (9yo) could not stop laughing saying that my interior smelled like feet! I agreed that I needed to get some Frebreeze and an airfreshener so we took a drive over to Target.
On the way we stopped at a gas station, and my brother said that he had to go outside to get some fresh air as he was histerically laughing about the feet smell. Once we stopped for gas, he threw open the door, jumped out and froze in place grabbing his nose. he yelled, "ARGHHHH!!!! OH MY GOD" and dove back into the car.
The outside air was filled with the smell of Cows (Doo-doo). The town used to have many dairy farms and on wet or hot days the smell can be very strong.
I guess he likes the smell of feet over cow poo.

The first order of business on Sunday was vaccuming out all the dog hair from the PO's HUGE english wolf hound named Ike; who must have been allergic to VW's as he lost all his hair while he sat in the back seat. The vaccum didn't work so great on the hair so I had to use a lint roller, and pick out most of them by hand. :::gross:::
The rest of my day included an oil change, steam clean the seats and carpet, wipe down alll the plastics and rubber, clean the engine bay, replace the windhsield wipers, Frebreeze EVERYTHING that smelled like dog/feet, and install a new airfreshener.

Yesterday I just got my clear turn signals, some sandpaper and paint (Interior project), a replacement sidemirror switch (Frickin' $85 from the dealer!!!!!!) and picked up a set of R32 wheels (18" Aristos made by OZ)!

More pics to come....

Can anyone reccomend a site/shop to buy koni adjustable coilovers?

My kids always freak out when we drive through Ontario, California cuz it smells like cow dump there too!

I'm very happy that you are already taking such good care of your new bug! I'm sure he appreciates it and I know we are all looking forward to more pics soon!

So, with the new wheels, are you going to change his name to R32-B2le?

I couldn't resist a night shot of these 2 sleeping together.
R2B2 is parked next to his '04 fully loaded 1.8t sister "La Femme 2"
I wonder what the neighbors think about us.. we have a '99 1.8t NB, '01 A4 1.8t, '04 1.8t NB, and an '05 2.slow Golf. 2 couples living together with a VW Audi fetish for sure!

Oh and the bumper sticker has been removed with no children harmed.

Sorry for the delayed reply!
But, nah, I think I'll keep it simple so I dont have to explain it everytime someone doesn't get it. Although it would make a pretty cool licence plate! I'm starting to think the beetle would look great dressed up as a stormtrooper helmet for halloween..hmmm...

::::"Beetle talk" to "Starwars nerd show and tell" transition is currently in progress::::
Lookie what I came up on! A comic shop near my work was closing down, and they were selling everything for 75% off so I cleaned out their Starwars collection! I dont even read comics, but this was too good to pass up on! Im going to box them up and give to my grandkids. (Assuming I ever have kids of my own, who in turn have kids...I'm not that old.)

Sweet collection! I don't read comic books either, but there's no denying that was a great find.

I like that the one on top mentions it's based on "a film by George Lucas." Thanks for the info.

I don't know why I repeated my comment about the wheels. I felt like a dork the first time I posted it.
