I hear ya...I have only owned air cooled until 05 when I bought our Passat, I never pictured myself being a New Beetle owner until I saw and drove this car. I've checked out yours and its great looking. I want to lower mine a bit, do you think it would be a problem to add lowered springs with stock struts?

You can try it, but IMO u'll need new struts and shocks, there'll be too much bounce.

Took me a bit but I got the Westy and Mojo out to a show, we parked in VW parking at the Southwest Bug-in on May 20th. I plan to show both at the Bug-out in October. We just dont have shows like the West coast. There used to be over 200 cars in the show, there was around 60 at this show with about 15 water cooled and one New Beetle....sad.
