Hello, everyone. As of April 11th 2007, I am a proud owner of a 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle. I have wanted a Beetle pretty much forever and a couple weeks ago, a 1971 Beetle went up for sale near my house. Long story short, I couldn't get it (even though it was my dream car) so we went to the dealership and picked up this beauty for a steal!

I fell in love at first sight. I went online the day I saw it to look up some more info (and found this site) on the car and the color since I'd never seen it before. I found out from you guys that Ol' Blue is a limited edition, only 1 of 2000 My car almost never was because a few weeks earlier, a guy wanted to buy it for his daughter, but she couldn't drive stick. I lucked out.

The '71 would have been nice, but Ol Blue aint to shabby

Hi! I just love that color One thing you should look into is the timing belt/water pump. If it hasn't been changed you should get it done ASAP! Not fun at all when it breaks.
I have 164000 on mine and he's still going stong, so you have many happy miles ahead of you. Post more pics, we never see enough blue vortex
