I noticed in your pics that the top flaps are still up.
Be sure to hold your top button up until you hear the hydraulic locks operate and the flaps close. Otherwise you risk damaging the flaps and also not having the top in the full down and locked position.
When closing the top, hold the button in until you hear the "chime" ding once. Then pull the locking handle down and lock your top closed. Once you do, you will hear the flaps closing.

thanks.. that dinging was driving me nuts.. my friend has a manual top and she said just push down on it till it clicks
