I was thinking to take the front grille down and paint it black on the weekend, but, I couldn't get out bolts that hold fog lights ( bump ). DIY sound so easy

They are 15' ( jetta ) but the overall wheel size is same as New Beetle stock 16' ( +/- 0.1 ). That will get me through the rest of the summer and the winter in Canada, since I busted 2 steel rims on driver side when I hit the hole in Montreal a month ago. I love the soft ride and toy like look. 5 spokes rules !

Awesome beetle!

But how in the world did you get so much dirt on it?

It's easy, after rain go to highway 50 north, from Toronto to Alliston and you will find a part of a highway missing there Then set your struts to "soft" and hit the pedal .

Ghetto air box was desperate attempt to get some cold air to short cone intake in the middle of the hot and humid Toronto heat wave, ... and under the hud. It's straight fit if you get it in the right angle. Filter sits on the bottom of the box, locked in one of support grid ends and there is no shaking inside. An 1/2-ish room all around filter. I removed the inlet tube from the bottom of the box( pry it of ) and shaved an 1/2 inch of off top outlet pipe to fit the whole thing inside. Instead of snow box there is peace of air inlet heavy dytu hose taken from some busted old ford. Hose fits like a glove and ends down at the grill next to fog light. It worked perfect and the sound is amazing.

Holly clutch!! This winter lasts forever!
I was busy anyway but I did some great stuff on my ride )
First off, brand new timing belt kit from ECS Tuning, installed just before Xmass.
New Ignition coil,
New O2 sensors ( front and rear ) from MJM autohouse, on the way ( may be in today
Upholstered in black: Headliner, front Pillars where the speakers are, back pillars where the belt mounts are, and middle part all the way back, above rear window!!
Painted black : Rear window frame, central pillars where belt mounts, all indoor light fixtures.
Painted yellow: Back view mirror and housing ( clock ),
Top plastic handle and shades holder,
Side rubber handles and casing,
Front on the pillars speaker covers.
WOW! What a difference!! I did all the painting and upholstering my self, excluding headliner which I f...* up on my first attempt and decided to let the pros do it for few (120) bucks. Came out amazing! On my to do ( or to get ) list are door panels ( front and rear ) which I want to be all black with yellow speakers, sun visors and central console with gear shifter in black.
I am getting closer to my goal, yellow and black, all terrain, enduro beetle ! ... but still... it's a long way!

Thumbs up Air Box Window

Well, I personaly got to see the AIR BOX window and I thought it was pretty creative and it looks great. You should post a picture of it on here to show off that work of art!

Oh yes, and the inside looked very profesional. The black headliner was very well done. Keep up the great work brother!

Thanks MiG

So here it is. K&N Cone filter fitted in slightly moded OEM air box. To get more air, flex hose from old car ( ford I think ) was added to the box intake opening on the bottom piece of the box and taken to the front grille.

Top piece can be removed as any other air box top , only it carries K&N cone built in it. To make filter fit snug I had to shave outlet pipe about an inch and then I atached filter using stuff that came in the box .
