I figured it'd be harder to do than I could handle.

Ellen - I'm not real keen on doing a stripe, but I'd like to find a way to cover the rock panels. We'll see! I need to get the splash guards off this weekend and do the other two fender guards.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Thanks Al. I really like the flower pic, too! I already have a pic on the homepage. I didn't know we could submit multiple pics. I always kinda forget that the .org is anything more than a forum.

Hey Jacob and Katie.

I don't know how I could do it. I'd have to have it painted or covered in vinyl and I don't think either one would match perfectly my fender guards, which are a matte plastic black.

Sorry for the crappy cellphone pic ( Jacob), but here's Curby today. Removed the splash guards yesterday. Had to saw off one of the screws holding one of the front splash guards on but the rest of them came off ok. However, all the dirt and crap that gets in between the splash guard and the car acts like sandpaper, so the edges of my fenders aren't looking so great. You can only see it when you're up close, but still. Never again on the splash guards!

However, while the splash guards are removable, the fender guards are not! Between the sanding, the double-sided tape and super-strength epoxy, those things are never coming off. Not even if I wanted to take them off.

Honestly, I'm glad to have the splash guards off - they scraped on everything.

Thanks for the compliments Al and Jacob. Yeah, I guess the cellphone does OK for pics. But if I'd used my Canon S3 IS, it would have been schweet!

I've probably posted more pics of Curby this year than any!

Curby i bootiful! Of course, I am partial to the 2001 Silver GLX! Now, question about your eyelids. Are they the glue on kind or vinyl? I want black eyelids on Bullet but I can't decide which kind to use. The vinyl ones are the most affordable for me and if that's what you have on Curby, I likey!

As for the splash guards, how do they come off? Mine are torn all to heck because they rub every time I leave my driveway. I'm half afraid to take them off, though, because I'm not sure if maybe the guards are helping the car to not rub in my driveway.

Anyway, I'm liking the black accents! WTG!

Thanks for the compliments!

The eyelids are vinyl and were a PITA to put on. But, they've been on over two years, haven't faded and will come off easily. However, the guy that made them for me isn't making them anymore.

The splash guards are just screwed on and should come off fine. I had a stuck screw, so I had to saw one of the screws in half. The scraping that's happening to your car is probably the guards themselves being scraped.

Good luck!

Erin, where did you get your vinyl eyelids? I know I saw a link in there somewhere, but now I can't find it!
