I still like your "Beetle" scripts.
Yeah, it's a heavy aluminum backed sticker with a circular silver border that fits like it was custom made to go in the center, just amazing. I think I got two and one I f'ed up when trying to apply it. It's nice cuz it fills up the center and flattens out the whole thing.

Beetle scripts are of course from www.bugsgogo.com .

Thanks Scott

I really like all the colors (well...the Barbie pink might be a little out of the box), but I am partial to silver, too. Especially with the black top. Sort of a Oakland Raiders combo.

I'd like to get chipped at some point on time to experience that. The 1.8T stock is starting to seem ordinary all of a sudden.

I'm going to tint my windows next month...that should go well with the silver and black scheme.
By the way, I have a grandson in Louisville. We'd made about 16 trips from SC to see him the last 4-5 years, but they meet us half-way in Asheville now, thus the mountain pictures.

Congratulations on your new purchase. The silver has a sort of classic look, don't you think? Ernie looks sharp. It would have been a shame to let your BEETLE license plate go to waste

Yes, I like the sticker...if you run across another one, I'll be glad to buy it. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out on eBay.
Yes, I saw the scripts over on www.bugsgogo.com...I wrote him twice and he answered back twice, but I still haven't ordered them.

Yeah, amazing how it fits in so perfectly. The wolf is actually a deep red, so it must be your camera making it look orangish.

BTW, when you paint the cover, that bump under the badge sort of disappears. I think it cost me something like $50 to have it painted gloss black with clear coat.

Actually I had to brighten just the center of the badge with my photo editing program, thus the orangish hue. The hood kept blocking off the light, and you couldn't see any detail.

Hello panthergirl. Yes, I like that shade of blue that you have. The turbo is nice, too...When I bought mine, I knew absolutely nothing about the different engines or anything, and wound up with a turbo!

You take great pics!!
Thanks. I use an eight-year-old Olympus C-2100UZ (known as a uzi to enthusiasts of this particular camera). You'd never know it, but it's only 2.1 megapixels...It's the 10x optical zoom lens that makes the difference though.
Who would ever think this picture would have come from a 2.1 MP camera?

This is a raw, unedited photo made with the C-2100UZ.

Default Tinted Windows

I got my windows tinted Friday (10/3/2008)...27% per South Carolina law.
I have to leave them up for three days, so I'm just parking it since the windows move every time you open the door.

Default 40,000

Well, I've reached the 40,000 mile mark today. Now it's time to make the dreaded 40k maintenence decision...The dealership wants $480 or so, and an independent shop wants $300, although they said if it were their car, they wouldn't do it at all.
Any thoughts?

I have to say normally I don't care for silver cars but this car is really sharp looking with the black top that looks really good together

Thank you, Boopster. The previous owners took really good care of it, which I appreciate immensely.
As someone else mentioned, the silver and black is the Oakland Raiders color scheme as well...
