Here some stuff for you to check out in the service area:

This appears to be one guy (as in 1 employee) who has been working on foreign cars since 1989. Lake Havasu Foreign Car Service - Lake Havasu City, Arizona (AZ) | Company Profile

These guys seem to specialize in air cooled stuff, however there is a real good chance they can point you in the right direction for water cooled repairs. 2185 West Acoma Blvd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. 86403 Lake Havasu Foreign Car Service - Lake Havasu City, Arizona (AZ) | Company Profile

These guys look like they are also into foreign cars in a big way. roadrunnerautoservice.com

Seems that Aviation Drive is some kind of Mecca for Foreign Car shops.

Personally I have found it is useful to go visit shops while everything is working and I don't need their services. There is a whole lot less stress than if your car comes in on a hook to someplace you are totally unfamiliar with.

Edit-I remember what I wanted to say, there is a post, maybe in the clssifieds for someone making custom color inserts for the steering wheel. A Red logo instead of the Blue stock one would really complete the interior.
Thank you for the kind words and the awesome research. I have checked into Roadrunner auto service, and he just honestly rubbed me the wrong way. It seemed he was more used to Benz's and BMWs to want to deal with giving me a fair cost for a beetle to be repaired. He wouldn't give me enough of a detailed quote when I did call to discuss my transmission issue with him.

I dont think Arizona Foreign Car Service is in business any longer, but I'll double check again to be sure...Aviation Dr is actually the area where I found the other mechanic who was willing to work with me and my bobby... So I'm hoping once they meet he'll be interested in being a regular maintenance mechanic for me and learning a few tricks of the trade of VW.

Glad you found a mechanic.
Your comments about Roadrunner is why I suggested going there while everything is cool. It really sucks to have your car towed in somewhere and then finding out you get a bad vibe off of them.

My apologies I put the wrong link for the 2nd place.

This is the place that is seriously into air cooled VW's. Their website is cool as they list just about every VW club in the country so I believe they have a fondness for all things Volkswagen. They also have nice t-shirtsVW Bus Parts From Bustoration - Your Top Quality VW Bus Parts Center.

VW Bus Parts Store - Top Quality VW Bus Parts.

This is how it is described on the web:

Yeah that VW Place is called "The Old Volks Home".
They've been here forever. They are obsessed with old v-dubs, especially air cooled.
He couldn't tell me a damn thing about new V-Dubs, and said I'm better off going to a dealership. Which again, I don't want to do, considering the closest one is 300+ miles away..

But yeah I'll let yah know how this guy works with the transmission repair I'm getting soon.. And I'll get more pictures as well.

Have you started to mod the air vents? I think you were asking about the vents correct?

I'm still trying to figure out how to best paint the vents. I don't want to start taking apart the whole dash. Someone like me would end up braking something and or losing parts. Like my other interior mods, I just have to read and read and see other people's experiences and then just get the guts to do it one day after thinking about it.

This is the first car that I've done anything to besides wash and gas it up... so I'm nervous. And all I have is an empty garage, some basic screwdrivers, cleaning stuff and paint and newspaper... so yeah.. I'm limited.

I was going to ask opinions. I'm trying to hopefully get some interior shots this week. But for a Red Color Concept, does anyone have any idea what I should mod next???

When it comes to a pricey upgrade, my transmission has got to get done first, but after that, I'm thinking red rims so I can save my sunsets in the garage for their stock worth.. they're getting pretty dinged as a daily driver...

I don't want to mod too much on this CC, but it's a transformer, I want to give him some more attitude, And I don't like cutesy stuff.. Any opinions would Rock.

IMO I would just add some Turbo S accents the TS vase, shifter knob door lock pin. I think maybe painting the center of the dash. I feel like its to much red with the seats and door panels when you start paint the little piece around the dashboard. I like the all black dash with just the center (around the radio and the top) is the same colour as the car. Just my opinion if you like it go for it. I do like the idea of painting the vent just because no has done it. Or you could do TT vents that would match all the Turbo S accents.

I want to kind of get all chrome/metal/shiny stuff out of the car actually, there isn't much on him as there is. And I want to just accentuate the Color Concept-ness of him...

I dont want to do any paint on the dash, yeah minus the vents, because exactly, no one has done them. I've already painted the speedomoter cover and the base holding the flower vase, and the little section across the speedometer to match. I'll get some pics of that asap...

Maybe smoke the corners??

Actually TDI-Sport has red and blue painted vents and various interior pieces...then again his red tdi sports blue front and rear bumpers and a blue color concept interior.

How about red lights in the vents?

Ohhh... Red lights in the interior. Perfect to go with my Decepticon Theme. I still want to paint the vents though.

TDI-Sport is the username, he doesn't post as often as he did...but his car Cleo is usually in a GTG photo...

You can spot Cleo's red and blue dash here NBeast 2006 Picture Thread!
