I might try that! I've also thought about just removing the spokes and going without.

I don't know if you've seen it, but it's kind of ugly under there. Or maybe you could refer to it as an "industrial" look!

The Tardis had a nice spring cleaning today. It was the first beautiful free day I've had since I got her! I did the Dawn and Zaino routine. She looks great from a distance, but close-up, there's still a lot of small scratches and stuff.

I also replaced the shift boot with one made by Overhead Cam's mom, but I still have to fasten the boot to the frame, so I haven't taken a picture yet.

It wasn't too hard to do either of them! There are great directions for replacing the shift boot in several threads here, including this one: http://www.newbeetle.org/forums/show...ght=shift+boot My only issue is that my guys lost my hot glue gun, so now I have to either buy a new one or find a different way to attach the boot to the frame.

The ebrake cover was really easy to take off, but it took a little force to get the new one on. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to try to take off the button, so I left it on and it seems to work okay.

Today is another beautiful day here in Missouri! I cleaned up my headlights, which used to look like this:

(Picture taken before yesterday's bath and polish)

Now they look like this:

And then I took a fun shot:

Lovely!

What'd you use for the headlights? That worked like magic!

Thanks! I keep wanting to go outside and look at her! It's Crystal View (http://www.myheadlight.com/ -- starts with a movie). I was going to replace the headlights, but DH wasn't crazy about how much that would cost. The guy at Advance Auto Parts said this stuff worked great, and he was right! It only took about 10 minutes total.

I'm updating with my plans for the Tardis for the next year. In September, we're going to replace the driver's side door latch so the alarm doesn't keep going off on me. We also have to replace the switch that adjusts the driver's side mirror, since DH accidentally snapped it off.

I still hope to de-rubber and paint at least my doors and dash.

Once I get a permanent job, I want to get new wheels, but I haven't decided what I want them to look like!
