Ok, so I used a Black Permanent Marker for my antenna.
I was tired of looking at the crappy one I had. I took the marker and gut it out. Cut the tip off and slid it over the after market one. It was a snug fit but it works. ![]() |

Latest Mods: Rear Euro Fog Light
UPS dropped it off today and I didn't waste any time. I think the hardest part of the whole install was the removal of the old clear light. The threaded stems and the nuts were completely seized up. I kept twisting and turning until they snapped off. The old light was removed and the new one was installed. The only thing I didn't do is the wiring. I'll save that for another day. Overall, the entire task was easy and very satisfying .. I'm liking it. Last edited by MiG; 04-27-2010 at 02:14 AM.. |

Well, this one is broken also. You can see a piece of the plastic in the photo with the screws but, I'll give it to you anyways. Quote:
It's funny you say that. I used to own a Chev Z24 before the Beetle and I had a B&M all aluminum shifter in it. It wasn't that bad in the summer but it would get freekin' cold in the winter ... i just through my glove over it! ![]() |

*UPDATE - REAR FOG LIGHT INSTALL*
I finally had time to wire up the fog light. I wish I had taken photos of all the steps I'm quite proud of the work which, wasn't really that bad at all. I actually enjoyed it. I had to remove the panel trim in the truck space and I was able to access the corner just under the stereo amplifier. In that corner was a rubber seal that housed the exterior wiring from all the lights and prevents water from getting inside the car. I ran the fog light wire through that housing and ran it all along the side of the car fastening it to the main wires all the way to the front by the dead pedal. I wanted it to be "pro" so I removed the lower dash just under the steering wheel, ran it behind the panel there and up to the switch. Plugged it in to the "NSL" pin in the back of the switch and PRESTO!!. Now I'm just waiting for it to get foggy outside ... or is it cool to roll with it on anytime?
