You'll get a kick out of this Casey. Cup and I went to this VW shop/garage/salvage place this Friday past, called Hilltop Motors... I told them I would give them a plug. Anyhoo I was asking them for a few parts and such. At first the dude didn't know who I was, which is understandable. So he went over to Cup, looked her over and then came back to me. He went to the guy behind the parts desk and said...

"Take care of this guy- give him a real good price. He's in all the VW shows"

He goes on further to say...

"You're always in the show with my sister, She has the Spongebob beetle"

I replied... "I remember your sister. She got first place and I got second"

He continues to say to the counter guy "Yeah this guy has a big following, hook him up- maybe He'll bring us some business"

Astonished, I replied... "is that right?"

He continues.... "C'mon now. I've seen everyone around your bug. You have a following".

Who knew

Anyhoo, i've said all of that to say, He only recognized me AFTER He seen Cup. I'm known by Cup more than me. Kind cool i think.

Al that is AWESOME!!!!! Cup is a star for sure and hey you get a discount now thats pretty darn cool if you ask me, I know Fiona is recognizeable because people tell me they see my car all over town but she doesnt stand out like cup maybe one day though

Thanks, the owner of the shop was really excited that I wanted a pic like that, he actually let me use one of their displays hehe guess us beetle people are special in a way haha

great pics Casey. The giftshop dude was very cooperative and was having fun with it as we were. Good times. It was awesome meeting you and Fiona. Both our girls were being brats, but we love them just the same! You know you and Fiona are loved- the gang and I enjoyed hanging out with you and Fiona under the shade tree of Dairy Queen on Friday. It was like a New Beetle Support Group. Fun times indeed and looking back at it now, you can say that it was a great moment. Friends and beetles sticking together

Yep we did have some good times this weekend And yes our girls were being brats, I told the guy at the dealership when I took her in that she was PMSing hahaha he laughed at me oh well now they are both being good girls

You just about made me cry reading that, it means so much to me that I am accepted and loved as much as I love you all <<<happy tears and what a great NB support group we had...I wish it would have lasted longer though, it was a sad day seeing everyone leave on Sunday

I can't say it enough how much fun I had with you all on Friday and Saturday (ARE YOU TIRED?) and how much it means to me to have you all there helping out and making me laugh

I greatly appreciate all of the effort put in to find the unfindable fuel filter, thanks again you guys and thanks for the ice cream cone tabitha
