Cool mk2subzero's Ride - 2004.5 GL TDI

Love the look of the new forum. Thought I would go ahead and gradually post all my pix of my ride again here since the old forum is gone.
Here's the rundown on my ride:

Year: 2004.5
Model: GL TDI
6spd DSG
Name: Spunky
Current mods: rear wing, chrome TDI badge, hawaiian print custom seat covers, headrest covers, seatbelt covers, steering wheel cover and "Oh Jesus" handle cover.
Planned future mods: Window tint, windshield graphic

Got it off Ebay. It was listed as a "Combat Wing/Rear Spoiler" and it came color matched. All I had to do when I paid for it was send them the paint code for the Blue Lagoon. I've received lots of compliments on it around Tucson and several folks have asked where I got it since none of the local body shops have one like it.

Love the Hawaiian Print you chose. Looks great with your car. I've had several different pair and just trashed my Hawaiian grey since they wore out. Where did you get yours, locally or online and are they custom? Thanks

Got 'em online at http://www.aiwana.com/beetlebits.htm I actually called them up to talk to someone to make sure they got my order exactly as I wanted it.

Regretfully, my computer is out of action for a while, so it will be a while before I can post any more pictures of Spunky (or any other pix for that matter). A buddy of mine was nice enough to let me log into his computer to browse thru the forum. Hope to be up and running again soon.

Default Latest Mods

OK, sorry I haven't posted anything in this thread in a while, but here are Spunky's latest additions.
Finally got the window tint installed, courtesy of "The Specialists" here in Tucson. Got the darkest legal for Arizona.
After fighting to replace the right front low beam bulb when it burned out, I invested in a Euro-Switch (Ebay, $25 including shipping) and now just run around with my parking lights on to keep the DRL's off. I did find that taping or bending the TFL pin on the headlamp switch does NOT disable the DRL's on a 2004 TDI. However, removing the 173 relay does work for disabling them. I may pull it back out after my next scheduled servicing.
Currenly I'm not sure what my next mod will be. I was looking at some alloy rims, but I am contemplating selling Spunky. I have had a couple of offers and if someone comes close to current Kelly Blue Book, I may just have to part with him. Unfortunately, I need a larger family car. Having a New Beetle and a 81 Vette just doesn't quite cut it for hauling family around. If anyone out there is interested or knows someone that is interested, drop me a line.
