Thanks!
I'm not sure about the scaling yet, we still have to rewire it to find out for sure. I just did the easy part, Steve wasn't available to do the rewiring part, and I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to that. So hopefully that'll be done soon.

Got a picture tonight with it lit up too.

Sadly Joel in Atlanta gasses can't delete cats. Gotta pass the silly emission tests. Glad I have a diesel. Hey, still got your cat? Lol probably better than Herbie's and might get him to pass emissions.

I bet my neighbor tossed it already. Plus I only had one little chunk of ceramic left in it. It probably wouldn't do any good anyway. That's why I deleted mine. Got the cat code. Illinois has emissions too, but in parts of my county, like Woodstock, we don't need to get tested. Don't know why, but I like it. Saved my butt big time with the ex's STS. That thing's CEL was on the whole time!

I'm to the point of begging a friend in another county to let me use their address for my license, so I can skip emissions. LOL I wish I could....

We got a lot done tonight! If you didn't see the post above this... scroll up. There's a short video of the biggest YAY! of the night.

I've been driving without a dash for... a few months now? LOL We took it out to paint it... we were going to do something custom with it, but then before we did I got to thinking, and thought it might be just TOO MUCH. So HJ went from this...

To this... (minus the gouges and scratches from people throwing stuff on my dash)

Then we took the speedometer apart...

And Steve got to do some rewiring....

We also shaved this piece some, to let more light through.

All that... led to this awesome short video.
Reversed speedometer! - YouTube

BTW... wanna know how a redneck fixes a CEL??
He takes the cluster apart, and slaps this on top of the bulb, puts it back together... and BAM! Problem fixed!! *sighs*

Yep, we worked on 5 cars in total, Glass headlight lenses for Thumper, then put Thumpers stock plastic lenses in another car that had real bad lenses. Put a boost gauge in the PG GLI. we scanned probie and put a new down pipe, cat and O2s in herbie.

Was a good time, we also had a Hon-duh boy to pick on the whole time.

Well, almost. He still needs a MAF sensor. We'll be getting that later this week though.

Yeah tech days always prove to be interesting. Gotta love the VW scene down here. We've got a pretty awesome group that is not only helpful but fairly knowledgeable.

Can't wait to see HJ's first PASSED emissions test!!
