Thanks again, I take necessay steps to order them.
It appears that Jegs well ship to Belgium.... probably going to cost an arm and a leg. the wheels come unfinished, bare metal so you'll have to have a sandblaster handy. We had a powder coater on standby when they came to our door. You could ask the sales guy at Jegs to make sure they're primed tho before they ship too.
Good luck and keep us posted on how it turns out.

It was confirmed that they come in primercoating. The shipping to Belgium is going with a container of a friend who has bought some classic cars in the US. 4 rims doesn't take to much place.
Painting will be done by a local body shop who is specialised in custome cars and hot rods ( = very rare in the EU due to difficult legislation). So they will come in the exact same color as the car. I can't wait to see the final result. As I said, pictures will follow.
grtzzz

Mine were supposed to, but didn't. Hopefully mine was just an oversite, and yours comes correct.

The pic of Michelle is pretty cool

The b/w pic of Probie and HJ looks like they're about to start some trouble.. too cool

I checked sith the bodyshop who will paint them. To be sure he always put his own primer to avoid problems afterwards due to poor quality of primer from factory. So really it doen't matter so much. still 6 weeks to go to get them.

I know, it's tuff, but we will enjoy double afterwards. In the meantime we have already lot's of sun, so we can already enjoy the open top. By the way the Herbie Jr is realy nice . As everyones says it makes you happy. But driving in a Beetle is also for happy people !!!

Yay for cheap mods! (especially cause so far, it hasn't cost me anything!)

How it starts....

I was just going to do the trim parts...

Then I decided to be silly...

And do more coloring...

Thanks Michelle for the awesome idea for a cheap mod. It's far from done still, but it's done for the night. Letting it dry, then gonna do another round tomorrow to darken it.

So far, so good Tamika- I'm liking it.

You're doing the right thing by letting it dry. Don't want the fabric all soggy and then fall on you- that would be a major fail. Good thinking kid

It looks much browner today... afraid that it's gonna end up a fail. Need to get more dye, try a lil more. Then we might end up just having to recover it instead.

Have you guys tried the Dupli Color Vinyl & Fabric Spray? It might not be as wet as a dye.

Then I caught this shot with my cell phone, when showing off the crazy pollen. I liked it so much that I had to go back and recreate it with the good camera, and a clean jetta. lol

One with the jetta in focus, one with HJ (and Probie back there lol) in focus. Not sure which one I like more.

That's the ticket!

Excellent results. I'm a big fan of that Duplicolor product. The dried finish has a nice OEM look to it- not cheesy nor does it look like something painted on.

Nice work- can't wait to see it in a few weeks
