Thanx! I drive all over the province for work so we've probably passed each other unknowingly already

Unfortunately OFU is too low for 50% of the car washes out there so he's kinda dirty now until I can get to the pressure wash or find a touchless one (Petro Canada has some I'm told).

First wash n' wax after getting the Exors mounted

The place I bought the rubber from: Consumer Tire on 14th Ave has a mounting machine that won't damage your mint wheels (nylon attachments) and I was completely satisfied with the whole experience!

I got a set of General Exclaim UHP (225/45/17) and they are pretty wicked for the price. They're actually made by Continental in France, handle awesome, give good feedback, are great in the rain, and above all last a long time (the set my friend had on his TS lasted over 50,000km)

Thank you thank you! Well worth the hard work. It sure doesn't look like a 10-year old car...

Looking good! I know your feeling good when it's clean. As far as the hard work, trust me I know what it takes as well and I couldn't have said it better myself.

The buffer made a huge difference (besides the superior shine a hand-wax cannot produce). My arms don't feel like they are about to fall off today

Wax on. Wax off.

It took a couple of hours between my friend and I. I bought a plug n' play kit that didn't require any butchering of the factory harness, 35W 6000K bulbs (I would go with the oem 4300K next time as the light is a bit on the blue side of the spectrum and that tends to decrease the visibility of the beam at night. There was a small amount of drilling required for the bulb-assembly at the rear of the headlight unit. I still have normal high-beams, but I picked up some Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's as they are the whitest conventional bulbs you can get. Also I had to disable my DRL's to avoid hot-strikes of the HID bulbs.

I did get my lights aimed professionally after at my mechanic's just to make sure, but the beam doesn't go above anyone's trunk so there is no chance of blinding oncoming traffic like those people that have "naked" HID bulbs shining all the way to the moon

This summer if budget allows I'm going to redo them with the proper Bosch D2S E46 single xenon projectors and make a relay harness for the system. I'm not completely happy with the focus of the halogen projectors.

Check out HIDs? maybe? for some pics of where I mounted the ballasts.

Nice car!

I know what you mean about the buffer, just got a G220 myself and it's brilliant. I've ordered some Meguiars Ultimate compound as well this week so i'm going to attack the car with that at some point, should really bring the paint right back up i hope.

What are you using ?

There was not tons of oxidation (not worth clay barring) and I was lazy before getting the buffer so I used Meguiars' Cleaner Wax (one-step) exclusively. After a few applications I moved straight to the Step 3 Carnuba wax and will rotate every 3-5 applications most likely.

Out of habit and perfection I am still applying the wax by hand (also due to the fact that the clearcoat does a pretty good job of repelling fallout and contaminants) so a machine 3-stage is not really required at this time.

Oh, and I wax my rims too (2 coats of the Step 3 when they were bnib to start)

Makes cleanup easier especially with the number of spokes...

LOVE the new shoes. I'm going to have to remember those. I think Ziggy could rock those quite nicely.

Turns out a valve guide was not installed correctly. I'm picking up OFU tomorrow after 2 weeks

Apparently the motor is running perfect again. My mechanic is not charging me a cent for the work. It's good to know there are some honest businesses around still.
