Its a matched set of Adjustable Koni Hydraulics from Germany + AP Springs + 25mm Neuspeed front bar. The hydraulics are awesome, even when they are cranked up the ride is still reasonable on the street, unlike gas which can be pretty harsh. And they are great on the track-there are a few road courses in Ontario here that I have access to.

Some pics of my Dunlop 92V FM-R D01J S's
Unfortunately my Bug sprung a leak the day before track day and was pissing coolant everywhere under the hood ![]() There was not enough time to order the part so the tires are going into storage until next year ![]() Last edited by Downtown Turbo; 09-24-2008 at 01:20 AM.. |

The TT Fat 5's that never made it on the car...(well for long)
I was going to refinish them in the same paint the Aristos were done with (I dont like the high-polish look-too blingy) but the Ariettas came along at the same time. The local wheel refinishers wanted around $250/rim to fix the rash and repaint. So they were sold (on the tex) (BTW Kumho's are the worst tires I have ever driven on) SMG and OFU would have been twins ![]() Last edited by Downtown Turbo; 02-19-2010 at 07:40 AM.. |

More Arietta shots from last year: Yea I loved the rims, just too hard to keep clean: Possibly even better looking than Aristos on a Bug as the spokes are curved

Thanks
. Dubs are to be respected ![]() I just have this feeling that when you don't look after your car it won't look after you ![]() Hehe, yea I get bored easily but I am on a mission to find the perfect wheels to compliment the design of the car. Some rims grow on you, whereas you grow out of some... ![]() I honestly have to say that my Bug is my favorite veedub ever! Last edited by Downtown Turbo; 02-19-2010 at 02:17 PM.. |

![]() This year unfortunately I didn't have the money to get ready for winter the way I wanted to: I took care of the bare essentials and got a new set of snows for my Montreals (Gislaved Nord*Frost 5) but an unexpected purchase (new head) ate my suspension budget. OFU is so low I really have to pick and choose the roads I drive on and wait until the roads are plowed after a major snowstorm. After 10 years my factory shocks were totally shot ( ) so I was going to pickup a new set of Boge gas and oem springs. Luckily winter has been very mild here in Toronto and I've only had to shovel the snow twice so far (there is not even any snow on the roads ). I have just had to deal with some clunking cv joints and my Neuspeed swaybar (byebye soon) until I can get the parts together I need for my front end. I've been looking online for a set of new TT control arms (ECS only has one side in stock ) and have to pickup the rest of the hardware still. Plus my brakes are almost shot now. My clutch will probably explode if I chip OFU now (150000km/93000mi on factory clutch) and I want to replace all the fuel-related sensors so I can get my mileage back (only getting 475km/300mi max) whereas my bro that sold me the car said he could get 600km/375mi on a tank.Lots of work to do this year before I can realize the power potential from the K04, but they say: The journey is the reward Last edited by Downtown Turbo; 02-20-2010 at 07:16 PM.. |

A milestone (more so in Canada): OFU just recently hit 150000km/93000mi
![]() When we hit the big 100000mi I will post up again! Last edited by Downtown Turbo; 02-21-2010 at 01:32 AM.. |

I recently received my Votex bodykit from ECS tuning YAY!
And: A finally a replacement FUBA Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > Exterior > Antennas > ES#251689 Stubby Whip Antenna - VT1A0021 It's a temporary solution as I have to replace the entire base sometime when the weather warms up. Exploring my options and might get a Touareg oem sharkfin or something else. |
