I'm envious of the wheels. I just started checking them out and I'm new to the alloy wheel thing, having had hubcaps all my life! I had no idea they were so pricey...but now I KNOW I have to have them for Beetler. By the way...I ordered my personalized license plate and what I wanted was available...soon Beetler will be showing off his name to the world: BEETLER I'm so excited! I have to have patience for the 8-12 weeks it takes for them to arrive...for the time being Beetler will have to roam the roads nameless (but not unloved)!

Thanks Jonk! That is the one I have on the pedestal just as you go down to my 10 Forward basement. A good friend put it together for me, painted it and all.

After seeing Frenchs beautiful silver Bug, I thought I would shoot a few shots with Ernies bra on. What do you think? Bra or no bra?

I found this Volkswagen emblem at the VW picnic last week. How would it look on Ernie?

Love the VW emblem. I think it would look sweet

I think the bra is great for travel and short-term wear. Still it looks good on the ol boy

The emblem is cool. Make sure it sits at right angle.
I really like the bra for protecting, but you have to take it off every time you wash the car. I'm looking to get one but I'm lazy taking it on and off.

Yes, me too. I don't much like the look of the complete bra, just the hood cover. I always take it off for a wash, in fact, I seldom put it on. I'm not sure about the emblem. I am thinking of maybe waiting and maybe getting one of the plastic ones. That way I won't have to drill holes in his trunk. Anyway, it's just a thought. Thanks!

So, it's been a year. Did you ever get the BEETLER tag?

F I N A L L Y ! I mailed it today!!!! Let me know when it gets to you! While I was looking for the emblem, I found this another emblem, It's a little bit pitted, but still looks pretty good. It's some kind of metal, so it's pretty old.

It was so pretty out today, and Ernie was clean, so I grabbed my camera and took some new pics. I hesitated putting more on here because they are so similar, but this is a new year. For my birthday this year, I'm getting new headlights so Ernie is very happy They are getting much worse, so that I can tell when I drive at night. Anyway, here are a few pics.

I had to get out yesterday, do get a hair cut, and go by and see my spousal unit. I took my camera with me, as the sun was trying it's best to peep out. Unfortunately, it started to rain a little, but I wasn't about to be defeated by a Rainy Day, I got a few shots of one of Ernie's rare days out: First stop, Haircut!
