That CD player is going right on my list if an OEM CDplayer can't be obtained.

On the antenna, you said Probie is Reflex Silver. On the Ordering screen, you can select the make/model/year/ and paint code by name.

A few members here have bought from here too. DannyRandomstate and Jdubvdub.

Don't know how I missed your pic thread. Probie looks good. Go with the super stubby billet antenna. They look great on a silver car, you don't have to paint it to match and install time is two minutes. Unscrew the old whip and screw on the stubby. Reception is diminished but you'll be using the ipod most likely. I've got the super stubby but have XM and never listen to FM.

Just saw the thread! What did you do with the stock wheels? Are they for sale? Did you transfer the tires to the new ones?

I still have the stock wheels but the tires on them are shot. That's why I needed to get these. Might consider selling the stock wheels but you'd still have to get new tires. I would not recommend using the tires I had on them. I thought I had severe brake issues because I couldn't stop...found out it was the tires! Along with the roaring and shaking, etc

I know this looks terrible...I only have access to paint and little skills with photoshop anyway. lol So, I was talking with some people about tinting Probie and possibly using reflective silver tint. Well, squint your eyes or let them go blurry and check this out. Silver fade to black tint.... what'cha think? (I stole your pic Al *and tried to stretch it..ick*. It was one of the only pics of my car that I had access to at work. I know, I should be working...shhh!)

I've seen the silver, fade to black tint on a few cars and they were able to pull the look off pretty well. None of them were dubs tho. I think if you were to paint your roof black, which seems to be a popular trend and the tint was silver along the doorline fading to black at the top, it might look pretty good. I'd go with the full mirror tint otherwise on a silver car. Of course, I support your decision any way you decide to go

I think the fade usually goes the other way: silver on bottom to black on top. I agree with Gary's "paint the roof black" suggestion.

By the way, your mom's house looks almost exactly the same as my parents' house. I'll bet it's the same floorplan.

What's greatest about the CD player, is it's not only Alpine, but it matches perfectly! Same color, and fits the design well too!!

.... So what are you gonna do with the original monsoon head unit?

My clear corners FINALLY got shipped! They are expected to arrive March 3rd, not too bad after being purchased on Feb 13th So I will post pics as soon as I get all those things installed

As far as the Head Unit, I hadn't thought about it really. It's a tape deck though. I take it you are interested in it then?

Are the corners what they refer to as "crystal clears"?

no, not the crystal clears, that's ok because I don't really care for those. I liked the ones with the reflectors on it.

I haven't a clue. If your BF is into the stereo stuff, maybe he can come up with a figure. They sound great tho. I should have cranked it up at the GTG. I'll delete that pic post and can take any additional pics you may need and e-mail them to ya, if/when you want.

Sure go ahead and email the pics to me. You still have my address right? I'll have Matt take a look at them and at the GTG we'll take a listen I don't really use the trunk a whole lot, but for junk. So maybe it would keep me cleaner! haha. Do they add a lot of weight to the car?

I'll take closeup and detailed pics this weekend and get them off to you. I don't think they add that much weight. And don't get me wrong, I do still have trunk space. I can get a few bags of groceries back there and stuff. I'm a guy, I want more space

Well my clear corners should be arriving today...FINALLY! I'll probably put them on either tonight or tomorrow. Maybe I can steal the garage tonight to do a little work on Probie. So finally the ball is rolling again, it feels like forever ago that I bought this darn things...oh yeah I did buy them on Feb 13th!!!

Here are some pics that I took with my phone. Not too bad really. The first three are when Probie approached 100,000 miles!! First time I've ever put a car over 100,000 miles. They are usually past that point when I get them. The last photo is one I took today (check out the front and rear corners ). I had to paralle park and the guy behind me was WAY pulled forward. After everyone left, that's how it looked. Look how much space I had. I could have parked behind myself! HAHA

And yes, I was driving on Jimmy Carter on a Friday evening around rush hour while taking the mileage photos. If anyone knows that area, they know that was a suicide mission!! lol

I like the mirror tint idea and also the silver to black with black at the top tint idea! I think It'll go great with that black roof too!
