Sadly what Al say's is true, I would call them every day to check on progress.

What size tires are you using (225 40 18)?

When you get your new tires & wheels on probie will you please measure from the top of the tire to the wheel well arch (body). I need the measurements for the front & back if its not too much trouble. Thanks in advance.

Yeah that's the tire size I was using. I believe the wheel gap was about the same as the 16's with the drop. 2 inches or something like that. I'm picking up new tires for the 18's tonight and once I get the wheels back from the shop, I'll put the 18's back on! I'll have a spare set of 18's but one Is damaged. I'll post pictures when I get them.

I think the BIGGEST profile you can go with an 18 inch wheel is 45. 40 profile just keeps it the same rolling diameter as the 16's. I wouldn't try a 50 profile if the car is lowered, but eh, you never know. I'll let you know for sure when I get the 18's back on. Can't wait!

*sigh* It's almost 3pm and no phone call about my wheel. Guess when I get off work I'm gonna have to call THEM. And heaven forbid if they tell me that my wheel is not ready...I'm gonna go postal! Seriously, they have had my wheel since MONDAY of LAST WEEK. Gave it back to me on Friday and it was WRONG. So Matt gave them ANOTHER wheel on Saturday so they have something to compare it to....and it's now WEDNESDAY and no word....ooooh lordy they better watch out for me......I'm just sayin'. This little missy wants her ITALIAN MADE MILLI MIGLIAS BACK!!!!!

....where's my whoopin' stick?....

For some reason I just got a visual of a woman in leather, fishnets and high heel boots with a "whoopin' stick" of some sort.

I'm a man, but I can change...if I have to...I guess.

Any updates? I'm guessing you're either out admiring your wheels or you maybe got put in the pokey for kickin' someone's a$$.

nah, wheel came back looking MUCH better than it did the first time I got it. Still not exactly how I wanted, but I guess that's because it looks BETTER than the other wheels... It'll do. There is nothing glaringly obvious about it so...I'm happy! I guess I"ll just have to save up for a refinish of the rest of the wheels so it all matches. lol

Here are some MUCH overdue photos. Since my thread has been full of words and no pictures...

Got new rubber for the 18's. And in the process got another set of 18's.

Will be selling these guys. Anyone interested?

Probie will be sporting them for a day or two so I'll show pics then when they get mounted.

Glad to see everything worked out for you Michelle. Probie is going to be all ready for his trip and looking good. I definitely have the itch for new shoes but not now. Definitely before ToD though. But with that comes cross drilled rotors and painted calipers. Any word on the job?

There was quite a few cars there but by the time they did awards, most people went home. I was the only VW there though. lol

You know...I don't know why, I should have told you about it! Conyers is as much of a drive as it is for you. It was $25 to register, but that's ok. I'll have to remember next time. I'm sorry!
