Cool NBC from Scandinavia

Hi all Bug fans!

Seen so great Bugs here I thought to share my project with u all too.
This my first Bug, I bought it last summer - but I've been driving with VW's "nearly all my life"
My Coolbug is 2004 German spec "GLS" 1,8T with Heated leather seats, cruise control, parking sensors, xenon lights, integrated 6 CD box.... and only driven 40 000km! I'm the second owner for it
Mod's I've been working:
Koni adjustable suspension, custom painted US spec rear view mirror, clear signal lights, Audi TT pedal set, Turbo S gear knob , 18 x 8 inch Diamo rims
Mod's in process:
Modified '08 front and back emblems, Techtonics exhaust, custom made aluminum chin spoiler...

Nice looking rides here on this site, but agree very few from Scandiavia ;-)
Based on Katsastuskonttori information (2008) my bug is the only one of that type in Finland... I imported it from Germany last summer.
Where you located in Finland? I'm from Lahti

Here is one latest pic how I'm doing with the front. Now the color modified '08 model emblem is installed....
Next step would be painting the lower grill to black and installing the chin spoiler...

If you're not too far from eachother you can meet up some time and do a photoshoot.

Btw, are you planning to go some Finnish VW-meetings this summer? Next weekend is a VW GTG in Kotka ("Kotkan VW-kesäpäivät" 5-7.6.). I am planning to go there on saturday if the weather is good.

Another GTG where I would go is "Bug in Finn" 24- 26.7.
It is the biggest VW GTG in Finland.

Unfortunately I'm not able make it in Kotka (I'm out in Denmark & Sweden), but I'm planning to go "Bug in Finn".
And yes, definitely we cheers Marcia and others here by taking some GTG shots from Finland. Needs just some planning and timing (too busy in my work just now).

Ok. First work, then Fun Have a nice trip to Denmark and Sweden!

I think, I should go to Kotka GTG, because the forecast is saying, that the weather would be quite good (not rain all the time) Of course, majority of the cars there will be aircooled VW´s. Watercooled stuff will mostly be Golfs. I am curious to see, if there´s any other New Beetles around. Maybe just one or two...

Howdy!

Now back in business. Ok, we need to do some planning for BugIn GTG. I might go there for one day only ( depending on the weather) so the first choice would be the Saturday. Before that event, there is historic car picnic GTG in Vääksy on July 7th.
Last year there was round about 500 different type of cars in the park and lot's visitors cool, other type (more modern) of cars too. I plan to go there also.
How it fits to your plans?
