No real updates but man I love the TDI in the city. It's just such a great working car all around.

I'm still putting all of my modding resources into the 2.0T. There's lots of fun things in store for that car next year. Scored some Turbo S headlights last night for it on eBay, which means the TDI is getting the mint set of headlights from the CG the next few weeks just to clean it up a bit.

Anyway I'll definitely be modding the TDI over the winter so stay tuned.

The other one is on the westcoast, if there were only two made. I bet you still love it! If I didn't already have mine, I would have considered getting it(pending my friend doesn't). Very pretty color.

I can only dream...

Anyway, new toys for the TDI arrived today. Turbo S Steering wheel and a deluxe 100,000 mile / 160,000km timing belt kit from Dieselgeek.

Now with two NB's I find my parts piles getting smaller. Ah well.

I said on Facebook I was done coming to the org for a while, but I feel like I MUST say something here:

Jordan, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the modifications you have made on your CG. Amazing work on the car, great look, sweet power, and the videos I have seen sound JIMP-worthy... but you are ruining that TDI. It's 1 of 1 for God's sake!

How am I ruining it? I've done nothing but improve it since I bought it.

I think he thinks since it's so rare it should be left as is =\
I don't totally agree, mod it up. BUT! i'd say keep the color. That is the main thing that makes it special, right?

So I came dangerously close to painting this thing flat black this summer but I held off and got all of the body damage fixed and the car cleaned up nicely. I'm very happy with it now.

First thing I did this year was put the old FK Silverlines from my 2.0 onto this car and I dropped it until the axle was rubbing on the swaybar so I raised it a bit to be more practical.

I also added the 2.0's old OEM clearcorners and red & clear tails. I picked up a set of Audi TT wheels in the spring dirt cheap and I ran them for 4 months and sold them for twice what I paid for them. I kind of wish I had kept them but I refinished them myself with rattlecans and the paint was way too delicate and I knew they wouldn't hold up. The tires were shot too so I picked up a set of longbeaches.

No engine mods yet though, waiting for the clutch to die first. Oh and please excuse the ride height of the 2.0 in the last pic! I took it where I have a storage parking spot and the driveway is really crappy so I jacked it up.

Thanks Al! Yep this is the winter beater. My poor Tercel is retired in storage, I couldn't bring myself to junk it.

Not sure honestly. This car keeps getting hand-me-downs from the green car so it kind of depends really.

When the clutch goes I'll do nozzles and injectors along with a new clutch and it might get the 2.5" exhaust off the 2.0 if I go 3" on that car but other than that I'm happy with it for a daily.

Nozzles are the guts of the injectors...so you'd just be putting nozzles on your existing injectors. Make sure you get them properly installed, calibrated and tested. Home

Combine PP520's with RC3 or Malone Tuning Stg III and you'll be more than happy with it for a daily. Its a huge increase from stock.

Lookin' good man.
