on a side note from....THAT....

do you have spacers on the longbeaches?
Feeling those as my next and maybe final wheel decision, but i would want them a little more flush with the fender than that.

Nope not yet but I'm going to pick up a set tonight coincidentally. Winter is the best time to buy spacers and stuff.

I find people around here sell spacers wheels and tires, etc cheaper before Christmas.

I sold the LB's unfortunately. Someone local wanted them bad and I got a really good price for them. The car will be rocking Monte Carlo's for a while I'm afraid.

Ordered a clutch for the car yesterday though. Big things coming.

Haha, I've been on that track for a loong time.

Since I last updated I bought the 17" Audi wheels back for half of what I sold them for, put a Southbend Stage 2+ clutch in it, put OEM Bosch .216 injectors in and the car is now running a Stage 2 Malone tune.

Huge difference!

Sounds nice. Been wanting to tune and upgrade the injectors for awhile. Any increase in mpgs?

Nobody wants to buy my monoblocks, I'm awfully tempted to put them on the TDI...

I shut the car down yesterday and it kept running for 2-3 seconds and shut off by itself. TDI's are known to run away on intercooler oil and then by the time the IC oil is gone it is revving high enough to pull enough oil past the turbo seals (if they're worn out enough) to keep running. I was pretty freaked out by that so I decided today was drain the intercooler day.

Went out, took the fender liner out and I saw there was no way in hell to take the IC out without pulling the front clip off so I did what any normal person would do and drilled a hole in the low point. Drained out maybe 200-300ml out of the IC. I guess the 25psi boost spikes for a few months didn't do the turbo seals any good.

Tapped the hole and jammed a screw back in it. Perfect.

Then I broke out the angle grinder and made a ghetto vented fender liner. Sexy or what?

Yep, that's sexy alright

It gets the job done mang. It's not award-winning, but it's getting the job done- props mang

I like the screw drain idea

Thanks Al! I did the fender liner off the car BTW. Don't try this at home without taking the fender liner out first...

If they did they wouldn't come with an intercooler.
