I've got the coil pack wiring harness separated all the way up to the computer almost... now gotta get the new one wired in... then on to the new spark plugs, coil packs, 3 inch downpipe, test pipe and new o2 sensors.

re wired the whole coil pack harness, undo everying from the coils down and up to the ecu, separate everything, splice them back in, wrapped the whole thing in foil tape and electrical tap to keep them from drying out and cracking again, replaced the spark plugs and coils with some bolt down coils from hitachi. (pretty much audi everything) still gotta do the o2 sensors and down pipe and stuff though, so i'm just driving her a little bit everyday.

PICS!

OLD HARNESS

finished!!

Glad to see your car back! I miss seeing new pics of IVY. Speaking of o2 sensors, I have to replace the one after the cat. The bad part is I'm already late on getting the car inspected and it's because of the O2 sensor!

My Secondary air pump is now going I'm wondering did you do a SAI delete or know anyone who did one? Just wondering if I can pass inspection without it.

Love your thread and Ivy looks sooo sah-weet. I just recently got a white 1.8t (that I don't actually get for another 2 weeks) and I'm practically drooling over all the pics of Ivy and her mods. Great work, and I hope we don't stop getting updates

I'm itching to get started on mine, hoping to do black and red... as soon as I get her, let the games begin!

Great to see another hard-modding girl, too

Esears: my SAI has not been attached since i started modding her. lol when i went in there this time we just completely took the pump out and unplugged it. so much more room. you dont even need it, just any openings left from taking it out on vacuum lines needs to be capped off. and i know what you mean about waiting on the o2 sensor.... its on top of the exhaust... gotta practicall take it to an exhaust shop to get it done. Thanks too i miss nborg. but with her acting up all the time it kinda gets you down.

And liz.hill, Thanks!!! Can't wait to see what you do with your nb as well!! And ill post up new pics every now and then. i'm pretty much done modding her until i find some new fabric for my headliner and doors... they discontinued mine. and it sucks because i love it so much. but the next two weeks will be the longest ones ever for you but it will be worth it!!

Hi,

oh ok.. So Does your state require emission inspection? If so, do you pass it fine? TN requires it. One last question, Do you get any CEL for not having it?

Take care.. and oh.. what does the down pipe do?

lol

1 - no my state does not have emissions
2 - yes there is a cel because of it.
3 - and a downpipe is basically a bigger diameter and less restrictive.

Less junk in the engine, MOAR POWER!!

Shes driving AMAZING by the way.... No cat + downpipe = AMAZING.

Hubby added 3 extra grounds and also re did the main power wires and everything is pretty stable. except for my CEL for the SAI... BUTTTTT. She has to have her tattoo to match mine!!

Ivy is looking hawt as eva!! Just FYI, you may want to be careful in Atlanta...we have emissions here (if you live up here). And I've heard that deleting the cat is considered a Federal offense. but like anyone would get up under Ivy to find out for sure HAHAHA She's LOW....can't wait to see you in a few weeks.

well. as always ivy has been giving me trouble. same issue that ive been having since day one. and im just giving up. selling all of the extras off the car and saving so that when i get my taxes back i'm going to be getting my CC! so i am keeping it all in the family and keeping my jetta as well. but its just time for her to go since she is not willing to cooperate. :/ it was fun while it lasted.

see my thread about getting rid of ivy to see if i have any stuff for sale you might be interested in...
