Default Another new Beetle on the forum!

took the plunge and purchased this Bug! 2005 Turbo with 5sp. I have been viewing alot of the posts and this forum seems extremely helpful and willing to offer insights. Of course the last week in October is not really the time to purchase a 'vert, but I am very glad I did. Sorry for crazy pics...using some apps for the Iphone. BTW thats my very happy wife in the multicolor shot- just wondering why her crazy husband has the top down. Oh the older pic is my first bug parked in a river wash in Vermont almost exactly 20 years ago!

Nice car!

I have a 2005 vert 1.8 turbo here too. Great little car.
Let me know if you have any questions. I have been doing entirely too much reseach on them! LOL!!!

I hope that the passenger soon turns that frown upside down.
How can anyone in a NBC be sad?

welcome! from one blue convertible to another.

also, i will assume the "ct" part means you're from connecticut (the leaves are reinforcing that idea) in the event i have made a correct assumption, i live in fairfield.

Buck, I can relate about doing alot of research. Any help or advice please feel free to pass along. My partner in crime, Tiff, just hates my and my iphone pics and photo apps. She is crazy about the bug and now wants one of her own!

Kitty, yes Calling Cheshire home ( actually born and raised there ). I see several bugs on this site are local. Going to have to try to get together run or something. I will try to post a few more pics, although the bug is stock---so far!

my man is born and raised in cheshire too!! he's got a galactic blue MK4 GLI 24v. shaved rear emblem, coilovers, aristos, HIDs, exhaust. keep an eye out!

dubs in the trees was a few weeks ago, unfortunately the weather was horrible so the turnout was bad, we skipped it. the season is basically over, but come april things will perk up again. dubs on defrost is always a good one, that's down here in westport. there's another one in rocky hill around the same time. spring show n go is in englishtown NJ, dustoff is in seekonk MA. don't know if you've ever followed the watercooled VW scene before, but most of the summer in this area you can hit a show almost every weekend, if you're not opposed to some driving, which you shouldn't be in a fun convertible

Welcome, I am an hour north, a stone's throw from Rt 10 at the CT/MA line.
When Tiff has her own bug you'll achieve double dub status! We love pics and I really like the blue of your NBC

Years ago...when I had my 69 from the pic, there was only 2 or 3 of us here had beetles. maybe a few golf/rabbit/and one guy had the pick up...

Thanks for clearing this up. Knowing she is happy and loves the car makes it all good. Also good to hear she wants her own. We're shopping for another one as well but our next one is going to be mine.

Once again, welcome to the Org!
