That's bad news Scott! 4 water pumps already?!? Why aren't you putting them in? Hope you get it worked out.

Doggit Scott, that stinks

Make sure they're putting the right brand in. There's a particular brand of water pump that's crap- this could be the issue.

Scott can't type so I am fixing his spelling

P.S. I hope he doesn't get rid of her either, I like seeing Fiona and Bridgette (the hover car) together

I actually bought them on ebay, I think it was about $20. they are 65 and earlier, the deep dish baby moons. not the later flat disc baby moons. I dont remember if I put the diy in here or somewhere else, buts its quite easy to do.

Ahhhh, awesome! I've always pictured having those classic disc caps on a newer model VW, but haven't ever actually seen any pictures of it. So very groovy

if you life in a place where it snows, they are high maintance because they easily rust. but they are very cool. I never did get the look completed, I wanted trim rings also, but those got wrecked before I was able to put the hub caps on

Ahhh, that'd be rough stuff for me then! My climate and salty roads wouldn't be very forgiving, that's for sure I was just going to ask about those!!! What happened to them?

they where a really wide lip, so when the tire flexed at the bottom(where it contacts the road) the rubber would rub on the ring and maek a really annoying squeaking noise.

That's a bummer, because it would've really added to the touch. Just today I actually spotted an old Beetle with those disc hub caps and they were definitely rusted to smithereens

GUESS WHAT I GOT WORKING AGAIN TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!! the new cooling fans did the trick. I am also an alignment away from being able to drive my car again ( a driveway alignment because I'm not dropping $60 on used tires for a month).

I'm sure you're happy to get Bridgette going with this cool rainy weather we're having! The bike can't be too fun in this! Hope you get it done over the weekend and start driving her again! Its been a long time.

I thought I had you covered. Just saw this Vw golf, jetta, beetle mkIV front brake calipers pair w/pads earlier. See if they have rears too. They have front axles and a front knucle as well.

Bridgette is driving again!!!!

all I have to do now is re-bleed the brakes, buy my two rear tires, and figure out what the new noise is on the front right side.

oh and for your listening enjoyment.

well on 4/15/2012 I was driving home from drill in some mega crappy sever storm weather. long story short, I was just north of milwaukee, wi on i-41 and some jagoff passed me, cuts in front of me, and holds his speed. I can't see due to his rain spray so I change lanes. I hit a spot in the road and spin out into the center median. here are pics.

I cant afford a loan for a new car, scrap value is to low @$350, and I dont have the money to 100% fix it. looks like I get to drive around in a poor beetle. so sad.

but on the good side, that does mean I get to keep the car and can fix it back up over time and still have it for my road rally racer.
