Nice Vert man! what kind of rims are those? They look really sharp! Also how did you paint the inside of the headlights? Does the lense come off so you can paint the inside? I had to replace a bulb awhile back and didn't see where the front lense can come off. My lenses sound like what smartchicks lenses were doing (fogging up) so I wanted to clean them up as well.

Oo, he raised the price. $75 now... But considering this one cost $99 originally, it's not so bad.
I bought mine from him

So it fits this bumper fine?
Will buy if so..thanks for the input

They look really sharp! Also how did you paint the inside of the headlights? Does the lense come off so you can paint the inside? Yes it will come off with a little heat..there is glue holding the lense to the bezel...which snaps off by gently prying back the plasctic tabs. Some folks use a hairdryer etc..I used the oven and careful wrapping up the lense and other plastic parts to slow the heat...its easier than it sounds...I had to replace a bulb awhile back and didn't see where the front lense can come off. My lenses sound like what smartchicks lenses were doing (fogging up) so I wanted to clean them up as well.
You shd check with her as she just redid them. She can say if the method worked for her..shes tried both now

Yup, if you check the part #1C00716119AX , then double check it against ECS tuning where you initially could have bought it, you will find that is listed as being for the Votex rear bumper
Home Page > ES#297181 New Beetle Sport Rear Valance Diffuser - 1C00716119AX

So buy it off eBay while you can. But remember, it has NO exhaust cutouts. So as long as you don't have any exhaust tips or extended exhaust, you'll be ok

Tightbub,

Do yourself a favor and put the diffuser purchase on hold for the moment. It looks like the Votex rear bumper does not fit the convertibles after all.

I had a look last night and there are several differences. I've contacted ECS and waiting for their response....

Good info..thanks...
Please note the differences for me...I am gonna have it fondled with til it works hopefully...worse case I will butcher it and fit the lower part to an oem one. I have a friend who does this daily. He worked at a place where they repaired plastic automotive parts. Being that its on the rear I wont have to worry abt it scraping...but it all depends on how much of a difference. Thanks for the info...

On a side note...my wing is ready for pick up less than 24 hrs after dropping it off

I live right outside Chattanooga. I've heard of it, but I have never been to the Comedy Catch before. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Will edit in pics tomorrow. I been in yo threads tho
I actually picked painted a front stress bar for it today. WRD...thinkin its gonna scrape tho. Goin to install it tomorrow hopefully w the sway bar on rear.

Also gonna test fit the wing. I got it back and have been checking fitment making sure its not tact on the back all wierd. Maybe even send it for paint.

It was only sent to be sealed up proper from me trimming it for the vert hatch. It was done with industrial strengh glass material. Its red and nothing like what I would have done. I couldnt be happier with the results for.
Im still waiting to check fitment on my rear bumper b4 shaving or painting anything.

Also talked to a guy abuout my top and probably gonna get it recovered sooner than I thought...may have news for vert owners...stay tuned
