I finally made a lil progress on the console. Also put in a momo knob and blk shirf boot.
Taped off with blue painters tape and then aluminun type duck tape.(keeps the resin from sticking) I may want to make this piece seperate..no sure yet.

W resin and an old shirt. I did not pull it too tight so I wd not warp the console.

Promising test fit b4 I remove it all again and do the finish work.

Maybe I will do a mold of this once finished for easier dash fab for future beetle owners
Im goin out now to clean the car for bugapalooza.

YES PLEASE!!

<---- really really wants a double din mount. I've been dying for one of the full touch screen units, or the Pioneer AVIC units. (isn't that what you have?)

If you decide to do a mold, PLEASE let me know?

Where do you find the time to do all this modding and still find time tell jokes?
I'm loving the progress though.

How many layers of niteshade did you do on your tails/corners? I'm thinking of doing my tails but I can't really decide. Yours look cool though

Thanks Abu...I think it was just two coats..maybe 2.5 but you can easily tell as you go how dark its getting. Grab an extra set of used lights and go for it. You can always switch back if you dont like the tint.

Mister....I agree. I always planned on modding a wing for my vert when I got one. I never considered it may open wing on with the top down. That makes me even happier about it. I have to say...if you plan to do it. Get a Fibegrglass tail so you can trim it to fit. Im not sure what the real caractere tail is made of tho...they are just hard as crap to find and expensive if you plan to cut it.

LMK if I can help with it

Thanks for the info. But this kind of wing is a bit too big for me. I'm more a discret guy And I already have a small one install last summer. Keep us posted on the dash mods. I am impressed by your work.

...If u think this wing is big then you wd haver hated the old school whale tail I was gonna do This one is discrete enough for me.
Thanks for the kind words considering its not quite your taste. Some folks could take notes from u on tact and curtesy.
Gonna work on the console today since its gloomy and wet. Maybe do the connections for the brake light in the wing.
I enjoyed the ride to Bugapalooza. Im thinkin we need to get a caravan there next year. Have a big NB following cause not a lot of New Beetles there and it should be. We are the future old schoolers

Hey TD, take some shots of the wheels/tires from straight on front and back. I'm curious to see what sort of poke you get with that setup.

Do you have offset info on those wheels? Running spacers?

My biggest concern with going flush in the back is wrecking the back fenders throwing crap up from the road.
