Red face Orange vert bubble

I deleted my 1st thread by mistake...
Thanks for the posts I had welcoming me and the kind words abt my bubble.

I have been wanting a new beetle vert since I heard abt the concept. I waited til I found a good deal and in one of two prefered color choices..SDO or Blk. I was going to the parts store around the corner and low and behold this heap was sitting at te same lot I bought my mk2 coupe from years ago.
I called while at the light and heard everything I needed to hear abt the car to have me thinkin abt a note again. That nite I went to look at it through the fence and it was as if I was looking at a puppy in the pound. I caught buggy love at that point
The next day I went and picked the car up event free.
Here it sits as soon as I got home..

the speedo..

1st wash

1st issue...I call myself taking a winter pic and got stuck for an hour

New Sticker mod

Jim Ellis Service for a check on the cars service history and to see abt the airbag light..

Thanks to my buddy Shane I found out all the issues I needed to tackle myself.

In his bay at work..

I will have all the pics back up by the end this weekend. Gonna try to be anal abt theis thread. I want a nice timeline of the car to look back on my progress.
Thanks to Ray, Chelsea, Scarab, ToplessKitty, Andrea, and anyone else that posted...That motivated me to redo the thread and not get frustrated and forget abt it. Im glad to be active here now and intend to stay around.

I had to splitt my post cause I got pic happy..

I also got a euro switch(vwcollector) and painted the headlight bezels blk.

Thanks to Raymond for bringing by Chelsea(smartchick)..she provided info on disabling the DRL's and pulling out the switch
"what do girls know?"
H\We had a two car GTG W three people

Smuggled these from Louiseville

"One carry on per beetle."

New to me Momo motne carlo, w grant horn ring(zuesenergy)

Random pic

1st pic I took with wheels on

I got tires for the rear from a buddy(photodub/Fred) that has no problem giving away really good tires
Actually we grew up around each other and have both been into VWs for over twenty years.
I got two matching toyos for the front from (bigchrome.com) A local shop that redrilled my three spoke wheels for fitment on my cabby(in one of the pics) I was hesitant abt going there for toyo tires but they were cheaper than any place online...and believe me I looked for two months for a deal. They installed em cheap and even put valve stems in without saying anything. I certainly did not think abt it until two days after riding on em

More comin...including my pup and his pack's pics

New pup BamBoo(Daisy's lil Bro)7 months apart..

On the new couch that replaced Daisys snack couch..see it in the background

My buddy cant keep his dogs from breeding and I really tried to find them all good homes but Bamboo came back. he was the one I wanted but did not need...I suppose it was meant to be. Hes a great pup like Tyson was...Daisy is sweet but Marley like and just as big as Tyson now

Pics comin of em all near a VW beetle..hopefully

Maybe the glue shifted a lil when resealing them. All it takes is one teeny tiny hole. Also make sure the rubber gutter thingy is still on your headlight housing(rear bottom). Other than that you can grab mine when I get a new set.
Cant wait to see the decal and wheels

Decided to paint the eyeball

Light housing w HID kit installed

The end result..I did not like it at first but it grew on me.

The rear tails after tint. Thanks Ray for the tip

I love this pic...

A good shot of the side with the wheels. Some can see why I want coils but my buddy thinks its fine...for now maybe.

saw this leaving the IMAX theater. Someone got a clean new beetle vert
It had a dealer tag on it.
I think Im up to speed on the pics of the car as it is now. Everything else is a work in progress. I will definately share more as I snap them.

Thanks for the kind words people. I find myself logging on here as often as vortex now
