He's called: Stink Bug/Stank Bug.

So, i hit this deer going about 75 in Enid, Oklahoma. It jumped riiiight out in front of my car. How convenient; I was getting kinda hungry and some Deer jerky sounded pretty delicious... So, since it jumped out, I only hit the back of him/her. I figured that since all my forward energy was focused on only HALF of its body, it couldnt be very well-absorbed so it must have gotten screwed up.

Note: i'm only 16 AND a girl, so give me some slack when I tell you that i was already crying before I even got out of the car. Not really because of the deer, but because MY CAR, my BABY, got hurt =(

Poor little Stinkbug! His little eyeball was hanging down by a little cord! But it was STILL LIT UP 8D And he pretty much took it like a beast! He still ran fine, and insurance was gonna cover it. I didn't have a right blinker, but I was safe and the impact was like going over a speed bump. I now trust VW with my LIFE, because my Beetle saved my butt!

Stinkbug is fine now, fyi :3 He's been outta the body shop for about 3-4 weeks now, and he still runs like a champ. Aaaaand my front fender is allll new and lookin good! (: I even blacked out his blinkers too! (:

Glad to hear that your baby made it out ok. Deer can leave some pretty nasty damage to cars. Looks like your's is a champ! We need new pictures though of your car all together and new and clean! I have seen this color nB in person ONCE...and it was AMAAZING! me=jealous

About a month ago,11pm, a truck in front of me smashed into a deer ripping its friggin' head right off...

I hit the deer when it was on the ground a second later,luckily it was nothing more than a 'bump'.

I didn't realize how bad it was until the following morning.

those are some awsome pictures with the lens affects. my bug had a run in with a deer on the same side, i didnt get any fender damage though.

love the fisheye pics, fisheye lens is on my wishlist.

saw a mojave yesterday and practically pulled a muscle watching it go by. guy must have thought i was nuts, probably doesn't understand how we geek out when we see a rare color, lol.
