Great job on the headlights I've got the 3M headlight restoration kit to use on Sunshine but have been afraid to use it. I didn't want to make them worse than they already are.

How long did it take him for both lights?

I love the 2 ball shift knob idea.

About 20 minutes.. He used some 2000 grit sand paper, water while sanding, then dried it, buffed it with the buffer and the rain ex headlight restoration in a little yellow tube and there they are.. I pulled the tail lights out to replace some bulbs because the drivers side rear was dim and you will never guess what we found.. Foil, Stirofoam, and some white sticky stuff.. I am taking it back to vw tomorrow to find out what the crap cause now I have to buy a set of tail lights for her..

That Beetle Nation magazine cover in a frame would be sweet for Smurfette's debut in a car show

You can generally find a mint set for sale in the classifieds here on the Org. There's always someone parting out a nB

I know but right now extra money is going towards stuff I really need.. Like brakes and rotors, and all that.. lol.. Lights are later.. Well I think so Lance will share driving duties with me so I am going to go with some seat covers with the vw symbol in the middle.. But still going to do the blue and green theme.. lol.. Tax time I am getting a keyless entry system put on and tint done all the way around on smurfette..

The one with the speed odometer is when Lance had started to slow down.. He is a nut around the mountain..

AWESOME PICS!!!

BTW, the pics aren't big at all- perfect size they are

You've got to print that pic with Smurfette and your daughter; it will be something cool for her to look back on when she finally gets Sumrfettte for herself.

Mountains? in South Carolina? They are hills....Anything above 10K is a mountain.

I bought my Ernie almost 2 years ago. I had the oil changed at the dealership I always took the others to. I told them to change the cabin filter, (I wish I could do that stuff) The filter was so bad, the guy brought it in the waiting area to show me, Ernie is a 99 and I do believe it was the first time it was changed. Smurfette,is really looking good.
