Wow I'm jealous. I've been wanting slotted/cross drilled rotors for awhile. Just found other things more important....that'll be my next mod.

It wouldn't be done yet if it wasn't a necessity.. But her brakes and rotors are so bad that when you stop the steering wheel shakes really bad and if you don't down shift then you will not have much stopping power.. So for Smurfette this was a must.. We still haven't done them yet but yesterday was a busy day.. lol.. So if it doesn't rain it will be done this evening.. I got a good deal for $99 for the front rotors and ceramic brakes.. Free shipping.. So, I think I got a good deal.. Same people I got my rotors from for my old eclipse.. And those had awesome stopping power.. lol

Who did you get them from?? Calipers too, or just the rotors and pads?

I found some Caliper paint at the auto parts place the other day. I am thinking I'd like to paint Ernie's red

Got them off of ebay.. I will look tomorrow and post it here.. No calipers, just the front rotors and ceramic brake pads.. But I am happy. Didn't have a chance to put them on tonight, ended up doing some much needed yard work.. lol.. But as soon as it gets done I will post lots of pictures.. I have the blue paint already just have to get the green that I am going to use.. Just remember that engine paint works just as well because it will hold up to the heat from the breaks just like it would hold up from engine heat..

Love the calipers being blue. I wanna paint mine but since I dont need brake work for awhile, I'm holding off on painting them.

You really don't have to wait for brake work. I've done the quick and easy myself on an nB or two. Bought the color caliper paint I wanted (or other high temp paint will suffice). Then sprayed it into an old tupperware or coolwhip container and used a model brush and brushed it on. Probably took 20 minutes per caliper at most and the finish looked as good as if you'd disassembled everything and sprayed it on.

Gary if we could get it here I would go buy him a whole case of it.. But we can't get them here.. So sad. I drove all over for them.. Closest one is in Camden..
But I did drive her and NO MORE steering wheel shaking.. And I can stop now..
It was not hard to paint the calipers.. Didn't take long at all.. We used spray paint (engine enamel) that can handle heat up to 500 degrees... I love that blue.. I didn't get a chance to do the nB on the caliper because it was getting so very hot already and Lance was starting to hurt something aweful so I didn't bother him about letting me paint it on there..

But I will reward Lance some how for the awesome work he has done and always has done on all my vehicles.. He is such a wonderful husband..

Painting calipers isn't hard at all, especially if you have the brakes apart. I was telling Zuri, you can brush paint them while the calipers are still on the disc with a modelers brush.

Definitely I'll do that upgrade front and rear to sunshine at some point.

It wasn't a hard up grade Lance said.. But the rear will wait to some other point.. Next is the starter.. Then the CV axles..

Yes you can just paint them with a brush. All I did was remove the tire, and then paint away. Just be sure to tape up a few things around the calipers, and it will turn out fine. I prefer to use a brush. I painted the rear drums too.

Aaawwwww thank you.. That made me feel so good.. And now I am smiling and probably will be till after I get off of work.. I snuck my lap top to work again.. lol.. I think she is coming along slowly.. I wish I could afford to do things faster but taxes are due on truck and so on.. So little by little.. Next is the starter.. Then CV axles.. Then the timing belt.. Tax time is when you all will see the BIG change
