Well, the 'Cup road trip photo shoot is now complete. This was one of nicest trips that I've taken in quite some time. Yes, I go home to see Mom and the sibs often, but latley i've had a strong yearning to see Mom, but didn't wanna take 'Cup on the road until I got her timing belt/water pump and other maintenance out of the way. Albiet only a weekend, I feel recharged- seeing some of the old spots that my brothers and I used to cruise and hang out, brought back great memories that even the more help me to realize how precious this life really is and to cherish the moments we have together for they are more precious than gold and quickly pass by.

I hope that in viewing these pics you were somehow able to take a trip with me in your minds eye. Thanks for checking out Cup's latest pics.

Hey Guuuuhl. I drive down that way every Wednesday and when I first took notice of it, I said, "I've gotta take a shot of that with 'Cup". I guess it might have that Bates motel vibe too it. I thought more of a route66 kinda vibe. It's not 5-star, that's for sure. I think those 'Motel' signs are going the way of the drive-in movies and the diner cars. As you've read, that's my next assignment. I wanna get as many of those old school signs on film/digital before they go away. I'd love to find an old school Holiday Inn sign....That would be too awesome.

Memo to all Floridians....If you know of a Holiday Inn that still has the old-school Vegas style signs, PM me ASAP.

Great hearing from you as always. Don't be a stranger, kay?

There's something nostalgic about those old school hotel/motel lights. A little slice of Americana.

I love those shots, mang.

But, I had to adjust this one, just a bit. Makes it stand out some more, yer Beetle and all. Plus the sign...Hope you don't mind.

Thanks for giving 'Cup some love. Yeah, that stripe does look like part of her paint job- cool looking huh?

By the way, where is Newnan located? Is it near Jacksonville? I might have to do a mapquest and see if you're near. I'll get back with ya.

No problem - 'Cup is VERY photogenic

As far as Newnan being near Jax, it's not I'm about 20ish miles south of Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta. I do have family on St. Simon's Island, and that *is* close. I am heading down there in September. I'm not sure if I'm flying or taking Bluebelle. If I do take the car, we will have to hook up and get you to "Glamour Shot" Bluebelle for me!

Not so close, huh? St. Simon's would be a great place to have a GTG?

Let us know when you'll be in Jax and we'll definately give you a proper welcome- you and bluebelle. And there's a Glamour Shot reserved for you.

Thanks bro. I guess she's an aquired taste. Funny, at first when I applied the gold paint/art fluid mix, I frist thought, "what have you done". I was past the point of no return so I forged on. Once I put the saran wrap over the wet gold, let it set for a few seconds and then slowly pulled it off, I was lovin it. The stereo pod I re-did cause the pattern I envisioned albiet the effect is somewhat random, didn't turn out the way I wanted. Next attempt was beauty.

It looks like all who view Buttercup's interior are loving it. Either that or they're just giving me courtsey comments.

Oh mang. You know what? When I took those interior pics, I had a camera that wasn't really up to snuff. I'm gonna take some pics right now. maybe these will do Buttercup's interior some justice.

Default Better interior pics

Yo Matt,

Went out to good 'ol Buttercup and took some new interior pics with my new toy. These should do Cup's interior a bit more justice. Some of these pics are dups, but for a reason. They should display the moray of color (gold tinge to greenish tinge)as the light hits it.
