![]() Well actually they're white with distinguishing colors that identify who they are. Cup's color ID was black and green. Yeah, me knowing all of this is kinda scary, huh? They were my last favorite cartoon. Not many good ones on anymore .Anyhoo, the Buttercup character is the toughest of the 3 characters. She lives for kicking butt!.. kinda fits the 1.8 turbo attitude; guess a 1.8t in a beetle is a wolf in sheep's clothing (I think that's what you meant- badness dressed innocently) anyway . Plus, my ride is a She, so the kinda name fits. She's pretty much know as Cup nowdays- not as cute as Buttercup. So that's the story of my Bubba... with a nerdy explanation to boot Thanks for the props though mang![]()

In comparison, Al has nailed the personality down of the fictional character through his mods to the car. You tube Power Puff girls w/buttercup and I think you'll see what Al got goin on. BTW great color on you new bug. Super clean interior, looks like you guys got a good one in the UK. Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app

Another year is gone and Cup is looking as fine as ever!

![]() Happy New Year! 2012 is gonna be a great year! Cup is running and ready for the 2012 GtG season. 2011 ended with an awesome GtG in Orlando... Jingle Bugs Rock was the name of the event. The event also was the official unveiling of Duval Dubs (dD)- our Jacksonville beetle group, with members beyond the Jacksonville boundaries. Duval, is the county of Jacksonville by the way. dD was represented in a big way. Next on the GtG roster is ToD- Tail of The Dragon, the mack-daddy of GtG's Cup will be up for the challenge of dragon slaying once again! I'm hoping to have a few mods done before May rolls around. Cup will have new shocks and tie rod ends done as well, so she can handle the twisties like a champion. Team Cup was gonna make the trip to Atlanta next weekend but due to the struts and tie rods, we had to bow out. On top of that, another thing came up, just tonight.. Bad beetle day today gang. On the way home from work, a S-10 pulled out in front of Cup and I. He was driving like He stole something... fish-tailed out in front of me. And just as quickly as He did, a battery flew out the bed and We ran over it. Radiator- gone... bent bad and leaking. Cooling fans- not sure yet Front fasica/grill- grill is okay but the bottom surround is toast. Wasn't able to run the turd down, due to the fact that I was dragging a battery and had to remove it from Cup. Called my insurance company and they're sending an adjuster to the house tomorrow. She'll be back, better than ever and ready for ToD, so no worries. It's just stinks that I live in a city full of idiots. Unsecured loads is common place for Jacksonville. side note: the only way Cup will ever get lowered is if she gets bagged. Adjustable height in an instant is ONLY way she'll ride. Jacksonville's roads and drivers are just too bad. So Cup will be in the shop for a bit, but she'll be back in the game soon, for more fun and beetle antics to come. ![]() |

Wow, that's terrible news. What were the infinitesimal chances of that scene happening at that moment, with that truck driver, and your being there?
I hope things turn out well with the adjuster. Maybe you'll come out stronger, albeit inconvenienced.

Poor Cup!
![]() I really fear for the day anyone wrecks Probie, even a little. It's come close a few times already. I just can't imagine. Here's hoping she's better real soon. Sure you don't wanna bring Petey up for the gtg next week since Cup will probably be in the shop anyway now Petey is an honorary beetle now... And next to a 2012; you may not be able to tell a difference. LoL

Thanks gang for the kind words.
Got a rough estimate from the adjuster today- $1050.00. I'm waiting for the wrecker as I post. They'll take Her to WagenWerks, where they'll do some further digging and receive additional monies from the ins. company as warranted. She'll be back soon. Still I'll miss my Cuppers. It'll all work out- Romans 8:28 baby!!! |

Sorry to hear but glad Cup will be up and running soon. Hang in there mang!

Oh Al, I'm so sorry that happened. Thank goodness you weren't hurt. A few years ago my mom was driving home and a ladder flew out of the bed of the truck in front of her and almost went through her windshield. The guy pulled over, threw the ladder back in the truck, and sped away. He never even asked my mom if she was okay. Fortunately, she was fine and the car had minor damage. I hope they're able to somehow catch whoever did this. Be sure to keep us posted on Cup's recovery.![]() |

$1050 already!!! Does that include the roof getting a spray from where the wrench hit it from the same truck. Looks like the repair cost will be pushing $2K. You and I believe the same thing and Karma will get him two-fold! Hang in there brother! ![]() |
