Yes. Originally, I bought the car for the wife. She didnt like the fact that it was a stick, so I bought her a 2004 NBC.
Instead of selling Moe, I just decided to fix him up.
Now, I've decided to get rid of him so I can get a Turbo S

Just got done installing my wind fairing...for the second time
I dont know if yall are aware of this or not, but, Thule wind fairings don't fit on VW Votex roof racks {even though they are made by Thule}
This was my first attempt at installing it after I modified it:

I didn't like the way it turned out for a few reasons...
a. anyone could remove the fairing by unscrewing the knobs
b. fairing would have to be removed to actually use the rack

So, after doing some searching, I found this post: VWVortex.com - DIY: Thule 872XT Fairing on Votex Roof Racks
Now, this is what it looks like

Nice Bug

Thereīs enough of ground clearance in you NB!

At first I had some plans to lift my car too, but I havenīt done that. Sometimes in the wintertime it would be very useful to have couple of more extra centimeters between car and ground...

I have to be very careful when Iīm driving on snowy roads.
Iīm glad that I bought a Panzer for my Bug as a first aid kit

Nope, I still got him. He's my fall/winter daily driver.
Handles great in snow and over those potholes that swallow small children, lol.
The ride was a little bumpy at first until I changed the settings on my shocks.
I love the fact he sits high, it's a HUGE contrast between Moe and the Turbo S.

HeHeHe. Moe is getting some much deserved attention. He definitely felt like the bastard step child the last month or so.

Moe is way cool. Love the tag of VW on roids.

LOL, thanks

Yeah, he hasn't gotten much attention besides just being the daily driver right now. I still plan on getting a roof basket, some KC lights for the top, front and rear brush guards, and a panzer plate for him.

I still need to mess with his exhaust system. For some reason, his Cat is backwards. The rear O2 sensor is acutally in FRONT of the cat and not behind it

I think thats the reason I'm getting crappy MPG's...

Lol, yeah, Moe should get talked about on his thread...

All the mods to Moe were real eazy. The only "tough" thing I encountered was replacing the front pass spring/strut. The axle was in the way but we managed after some blood, sweat, and some choice words

MORE PICTURES, PLEASE!

I'm just ending my first year in NW Oregon after having lived in SoCal my entire life and I'm seriously considering lifting my beetle. I'm trying to digest as much information as I can.

Do you think your rear suspension is going to settle any? As it always seems with the beetle, the light weight rear sits higher than the front, when people lift. I'm wondering how best to address that issue, because I think the lift would look a little more natural if the car sat level.

Your car looks really awesome!
