Default I named my 2002 Black Turbo S Buddy

I haven't taken any pictures of Buddy yet but here are the dealer's pics I stole off their website

He wanted $8,999 when he first put it up for sale but I closely watched it as each month he dropped it to $7,999 then $6,999 and after many phone calls of offering $6000 cash he finally took it. He had many young people come look at it but sadly today's youth cannot drive a stick he said.

They even do a 30 day/1000 mile limited warranty (doesn't cover cosmetic stuff and electronics - mainly engine and transmission) on their cars which is unheard of nowadays. Any small warranty is better than a AS-IS 'don't come back' deal.

I wanted to get this one (Click for autotrader link) but the mileage was higher and he was quite a drive from me. I wasn't too fond of the tribal art either but if you are in the south $5800 is a good deal I think.

Love your Turbo S, but your "S" is missing from the trunk!

Congrats, and have fun with that 6-speed!

Ive been browsing the internet for a VW 'S' and seen that its near extinct. The Porche 'S' is similar?

One little letter held on with two sided tape...I'm surprised more people aren't missing it.

After seeing that my cat loves the Beetle so much that he thinks of it's hood as his personal bed at night I spent my Sunday cleaning the garage.

For years storage was on one side and the family car parked on the other with my truck always out in the weather but after seeing sand, paw prints, smudges, and cat hair all over the hood, windshield, and sun roof I about freaked and made some changes. I guess I did my spring cleaning early.

Below is how every Beetle should sleep at night

PS: Oh yeah, my car didn't come with a vase so I looked around for something that would fit in the hole. My mini mag light is functional and elegant. Fits really snug.

I got several replies back from various dealerships that showed them on their websites.....no longer available

It sucks since without the 'S' my 'Turbo' logo is off center below the VW logo.

Is there a S on some other car that looks similar? My co-worker has a Honda S2000R so maybe I'll look at his logo's 'S' closer.

I know right! Its too fast for me and I've owned a 350z and other sports cars. I think its the small size of the car and the fact the gears run out annoyingly fast when I press more than marginal on the gas....soon as it starts booking, time to change gear. Guess I'm used to the 350Z that made more use of each gear.

So I looked at my co-workers car and the S in s2000 is pretty close in size and shape and looks to be a good replacement and can be bought for $4.95

My co-worker decided to drive his Beetle today. It never gets driven...just sits in a garage 350 days of the year.
